Story
Just look at those ears! Meet Piper, a handsome Shepherd born around 7/6/22. Piper is a soft and snuggly boy who is ready to find a forever family to love. He’s a loyal, sensitive soul who thrives on affection and calm companionship. Originally from Afghanistan, Piper is still adjusting to the new sights and sounds of life here. He’s eager to please and loves to learn—especially when treats are involved. He’s alert with a big bark, but he’s learning that his people will protect him, and he doesn’t need to be on high alert all the time. Piper can be mouthy when startled or excited, so he would do best in a home without young children—kids over 10 and up would be a better fit. He prefers the company of very submissive dogs or no dogs at all, as more dominant or high-energy dogs can overwhelm him. He’s enjoyed playing with his calm foster sister and tends to be submissive himself, but he also enjoys his solo time just relaxing or soaking up love from his humans. Piper would be thrilled to sleep stretched out on a bed or couch, but he’s also content in his crate. He does great being left loose when home alone and hasn’t had any issues. Piper loves walks, belly rubs, and being brushed or getting a nail trim. His one big dislike? Car rides—he lets you know with instant drooling. But if it means joining you on an adventure, he’s game! Are you ready to welcome this sweet, sensitive boy into your life? Because he’s ready for you. Apply today to meet Piper!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 2, 2026, 11:31 pm

Story
I am a very loving, happy boy. I was born on May 12, 2025. I am curious and learning all about the world around me. I love to run and play with the other dogs at my foster home. I am around 45 pounds currently. I sleep all night and am making good progress with house training. My foster family has me on a predictable schedule, and I do well with that. I can be left alone 4-5 hours at a time and then need a potty break. I am a good listener, and I come running when called. I am very food-motivated, so that makes training easy. I know how to sit when asked, and I know what it means when I hear the words: kennel up, go outside, go potty, and go inside. All these words mean I get a little treat, and I love that! I am still learning leash manners. I really love to be with my people and my foster dog friends. I love to snuggle with them as much as possible. Running in my fenced-in yard with the other dogs is so fun! My foster mom feels like it would be great to get a family that has one of those. I love to be active. When I am done, snuggling and sleeping by you is my favorite thing. I will connect deeply with you and will love all the attention you can give me. If you are looking for a best friend, I can be your guy! There are two cats in my foster home, and I am very interested in them. One of the cats hides when I am around because I get a little too interested in her. The other cat likes to play hide-and seek with me. I would probably do ok with a dog-savvy cat. I like to chew so I get bones and toys that help me stay busy. My foster mom thinks I am very smart. I would love to live with someone who can give me lots of attention and a place to run to get some energy out. Most of the time I am a pretty calm guy. I like to use my bark when I want something really bad, so I probably wouldn’t be a good fit in a house/apartment with shared walls even though I am making good progress with that. I would do best in a home with children over ten years old. My foster family loves me so much and they want me to find my forever family to bond with during my puppy development time. I can’t wait to meet you!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Meet Pepi! Pepi is a sweet, soulful 4-year-old Shepherd mix who’s ready to find her forever family. She came to rescue already pregnant and proved what an amazing mama she is by raising three beautiful pups—all of whom are now adopted. Now it’s finally Pepi’s turn to be someone’s whole world.   Pepi is the perfect balance of fun-loving adventurer and devoted cuddle bug. She loves outings, exploring new places, and getting her zoomies out (snow is a personal favorite!). But when the day winds down, she’s all about snuggling up close—whether that means curling up beside you or climbing right into your lap for movie night. Her ideal evening includes kisses, belly rubs, and soaking up every ounce of affection you’re willing to give.    She’s potty trained, crate trained, and incredibly smart. Pepi is food-motivated and eager to learn, which makes training a breeze. She especially adores kids—their laughter, cuddles, and attention make her heart absolutely melt.   Pepi enjoys dog friends for playdates, but she’d prefer to be the only pet in the home so she can have all the love (and belly rubs) to herself. She has met cats, but her instinct to chase means a cat-free home would be best.   While she isn’t much of a barker, Pepi does take her “yard security” role seriously and likes to keep an eye on her surroundings. A fenced yard would be a bonus for her zoomies, though it’s not required as long as she gets regular playtime and adventures.   Pepi is ready to be someone’s loyal, loving sidekick—the kind of dog who fills your home with joy, affection, and laughter. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a huge heart, Pepi may be your perfect match.   Think she could be the one? Let’s get you two together!       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Introducing Kit: part Great Pyrenees, part Doberman, and 100% professional weirdo. She’s about two years old, has legs for days, and a nose that works overtime like a tiny detective on an endless case. Kit has gone from “stranger danger” mode to “sniff your hair while you’re watching Netflix” mode, and that’s what we call progress.   Her daily routine is very official: three laps around her kennel like an Olympic track star before dinner, followed by stealing the couch or your bed because, honestly, she’s royalty and crates are for peasants. She’s learning that humans = belly rub dispensers, and she’s totally here for it.   Kit is a huge fan of dogs, though she sometimes comes in a little too hot on first introductions (think: bossy camp counselor vibes). Once she knows who’s in charge, she’s good to go, and she’s the best babysitter for puppies. What she is not into? Cats, chickens, birds, squirrels, or basically anything small and fluffy that isn’t her designated sibling. For those, her prey drive kicks in and—let’s just say—it’s a hard no.   She’s obsessed with running, but luckily, she’s not a fence-jumper. A nice sturdy yard is her dream stage for zoomies. When she’s not sprinting, she’s all about long walks, soft toys, and claiming furniture like it’s her birthright. She’ll even listen to “leave it” when she’s yelling at the neighbors, which is basically the dog version of good manners.   Kit is still a little shy at first, but once she warms up, you’ll find a goofy, loyal, slightly dramatic best friend who makes the small victories (like coming when called) feel like winning the lottery. She’s been waiting long enough—this couch hog is ready to claim your couch and, more importantly, your heart.       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi everyone, my name is Lucas, but sometimes my friends call me Leo. I am a great Pyrenees mix born approx 6/6/24.  I was picked up as a stray in Arkansas, and I am about 51 pounds and done growing. In a world of too-big or too-small dogs, I am the perfect size for fun! Big enough to hike, play fetch, and run, small enough to cuddle on your lap on the couch. They think I am somewhere between 11-18 months old, and while I still have some puppy-like energy to burn off, I also know how to calm down and chill.    I love other dogs- on walks, I whine to say hi and ask to play- but most of all I LOVE people. Some might say I love exuberantly, especially on first meeting, where I greet everyone with wagging tail and jumps of excitement- although I have been told I need to work on the jumping thing. After I settle into a routine, I don't jump as much unless we introduce new friends to the mix!   When I want to go outside, I sit like a gentleman at the door. I am fantastic on a leash. I generally like to lead, but I try not to pull, and I will try to match your pace, whether that is slow to be careful of ice or speed walking. I might also make a good running partner, although my current people aren't really runners. I also like to get my business done all in one shot, and don't feel the need to mark every tree and bush. Even though I hale from Arkansas, I sure to love the snow and cold weather.   I love to play, fetch balls, tug on ropes, and chew on my Nylabone. I especially love stuffies- sometimes a little too much, to the point that I start unstuffing them. On occasion, I find non-toy objects in my house and proudly bring them to you- a plastic box, a dryer ball, even a whole roll of toilet paper.   I tend to be a pretty quiet dude. I bark to let you know someone is at the door, and if I see something fun out the window, I may whine a bit. If I need to stay in my crate but I can still hear you around the house, I will whine, cry, and lament the fact that I can't be with you. However, if you leave the house, I tend to be pretty quiet in the crate. I must admit that I can get a little loud when I am playing with my fur brother, especially when he has had enough and I want to keep going. But then my mom gives me a bone, and I quiet down. Speaking of the kennel I can sleep in there all night with no problem, but I would prefer sleeping at the foot of my people's bed. No dog beds required for me, as I have a habit of dismantling them if I get bored (I mean, they ARE just a really big stuffie, right?)   I am told I am smart and treat motivated- and they are right! I can sit and down with the right motivation, and I take treats with a very soft mouth. I am working on leave it and drop it with good progress, but I am a little stumped on stay (I am just too excited and impatient for that at this point.)   Now I should admit to a few negatives; a guy can't be perfect. I have a tendency to check out the kitchen counter to see if you were silly enough to leave something out for me- I mean, thanks for the treat! I also have a problem with chasing the cat. I am not aggressive, I just want to play with them, but the cat doesn't seem to see it that way, and if the cat hides, I instinctively seek so they can't get away.   Hope to meet you really soon!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi I'm Finn. I'm a five and a half month old terrier mix puppy with lots of love to give. I'm quite simple really.  I like everyone I meet.  I've been introduced to an infant, a toddler,  and a preschooler.  The baby was sweet.  Her toys tasted great!  The toddler ignored me and the preschooler wanted me to be his new best friend.  I liked him.  He was fun to play with.  Adults are my ultimate favorite people.  They feed me,  let me out to go potty, give me lots of toys and treats,  and they snuggle like nobody's business.  Kisses are my favorite! I've been to a couple obedience/ training classes.  I'm mastering walking on a leash.  I can sit like a champion,  and I am excellent at taking treats like a gentleman.  I sleep wonderfully in my kennel at night, and I have house training almost down to a science. I'm so excited to meet my new family.  Kids, no problem! Cats,  I love them! Another dog,  I like friends! I've even been around ducks, and we didn't try to kill each other. Older people,  I got you! I'm universal. I know my best family is out there.  Come meet me! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
