Story
About Me Meet Sammy, a distinguished senior gentleman with a heart for routine and a soft spot for quiet companionship. At 8+ years old, Sammy is the perfect blend of independence and loyalty—he’ll happily follow you from room to room, but he also appreciates having his own space respected. Once he warms up, you’ll be treated to his signature head butts and the comfort of knowing you’re his chosen person. Sammy thrives on structure and daily walks—3 to 4 outings a day, rain or shine, are non-negotiable for him. He’s not a fan of doing his business in the yard, so those walks are essential for his happiness (and your peace of mind). While he’s leash trained and generally does well, he can be selective with other dogs and may react if another dog does first. With gentle guidance, he’s learning to navigate these moments. He’s a meticulous self-groomer but needs help with brushing, especially on his back. Sammy isn’t food motivated and is quite picky, but he’ll never say no to a beef gully stick. Toys are still a new concept for him, but he loves lounging on the deck with the resident pets. Sammy is best suited for a calm home—he’s great with cats and does well with tiny dogs, though he can play a bit rough due to his size. He prefers older, considerate children and isn’t comfortable with sudden movements or being crated. He does well when left out for short periods and hasn’t caused any trouble in his foster home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who values routine, enjoys peaceful walks, and will quietly be your shadow, Sammy might be your perfect match. He’s ready to find his person—could that be you? Apply to meet Sammy and see if you’re the one he chooses next. ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.  Foster Home Pets: Meet & greets are scheduled after an approved adoption application Cats at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center (Andover, MN): Some cats may be available to meet during open hours Please visit our website for the most accurate information on this pet and next steps. Story
Hi, I’m Mickey, I’ll be honest with you… the world can feel a little big and overwhelming at first. I might be shy when we meet, and sometimes my nerves get the best of me. But underneath that? I am a really sweet, people-loving guy who just wants connection. I don’t stay unsure for long. Once I feel safe, I lean in—literally. I seek out affection, attention, and reassurance, and I become a very happy, loving companion. I’m the kind of dog who wants to be near you, with you, part of your world.  I’ve got a playful, active side too! Right now, I love to run (a lot!), so a fenced yard would make me very happy. Toys are still a bit new to me, but I’m starting to figure them out. Walks? We’re working on that—I can get a little unsure and would rather head back home—but with patience, I know I’ll get there.  And when it comes to cuddling… oh, I’m all in. I might bring a little chaotic energy at first (okay, maybe I’ll bounce off you once or twice ), but then I settle in and just want to be close. I really do love my people. What I’m Looking For: I’m going to thrive with someone who understands that confidence takes time to build. I’ll need: Patience and encouragement as I continue learning the world is safe A consistent routine to help me feel secure Continued support with potty and crate training A home that can manage my energy (and ideally has a fenced yard!) I’m still learning, but I’m trying—and I’m worth it. A Few Honest Notes (Because You Deserve That): I’m still working on potty and crate training I may have accidents if left too long—I’m not quite ready for a full workday alone yet I can be a little sensitive around food with other dogs, so thoughtful management is important But here’s the thing… I’m improving every day. And once I’m settled, I am a really happy, loving dog who just wants to belong.  Why You’ll Love Me Because when you choose me, you’re not just getting a dog—you’re getting a companion who will grow with you, trust you deeply, and love you in that quiet, meaningful way that only a once-shy dog can. If you’re willing to give me a little time… I promise I’ll give you my whole heart. Love,Mickey Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2662965##

Story
About Me Meet Slim, a happy-go-lucky young pup who’s ready to find his forever family! Slim is the ultimate professional cuddler—he loves nothing more than curling up with his people after a fun day. He’s friendly with dogs, cats, and children, making him a great fit for a variety of homes. Slim starts his mornings with a potty break and a treat, followed by breakfast and playtime with his dog friends. He’s mostly potty trained and crate trained, though he’s still learning to let you know when he needs to go out. As a curious explorer, Slim enjoys rolling in the grass and taking in all the sights and smells outside. He’s still getting used to the leash, but he’s making progress every day. Slim is a young dog, so he’s still learning his manners and would love a family who can help him continue to grow. He’s not overly vocal, though he may bark at people in other yards. Most of all, Slim just wants to be with his people, enjoy some treats, and share lots of snuggles. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who’s eager to be part of your daily routine, Slim might be the perfect match. Apply today to meet this lovable guy and see if he’s the missing piece in your family! ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota. Story
About Me: Meet Tiptoe, a gentle soul looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally feel safe. Tiptoe is an adult, low-energy pup who prefers quiet routines and peaceful environments. He’s crate trained, good in the car, and happiest when he’s right by your side—he truly is your little shadow. Tiptoe is still learning to trust and can be timid and unsure, so he’ll thrive with someone patient who understands that building confidence takes time. He’s not interested in toys or playtime, but he absolutely loves belly rubs and simply being close to his person. Tiptoe does best with slow introductions and isn’t a fan of large dogs, though he may be okay with a small, gentle companion. He’s had some medical issues, so walks haven’t been part of his routine yet, but he’s comfortable on a leash and enjoys calm outings. Tiptoe needs a home where he can take things at his own pace and discover that there are good humans out there. If you’re looking for a quiet, loyal companion and have a peaceful home to share, Tiptoe would love to meet you. Apply today to give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves.
