Story
Hi, I’m Mickey, I’ll be honest with you… the world can feel a little big and overwhelming at first. I might be shy when we meet, and sometimes my nerves get the best of me. But underneath that? I am a really sweet, people-loving guy who just wants connection. I don’t stay unsure for long. Once I feel safe, I lean in—literally. I seek out affection, attention, and reassurance, and I become a very happy, loving companion. I’m the kind of dog who wants to be near you, with you, part of your world.  I’ve got a playful, active side too! Right now, I love to run (a lot!), so a fenced yard would make me very happy. Toys are still a bit new to me, but I’m starting to figure them out. Walks? We’re working on that—I can get a little unsure and would rather head back home—but with patience, I know I’ll get there.  And when it comes to cuddling… oh, I’m all in. I might bring a little chaotic energy at first (okay, maybe I’ll bounce off you once or twice ), but then I settle in and just want to be close. I really do love my people. What I’m Looking For: I’m going to thrive with someone who understands that confidence takes time to build. I’ll need: Patience and encouragement as I continue learning the world is safe A consistent routine to help me feel secure Continued support with potty and crate training A home that can manage my energy (and ideally has a fenced yard!) I’m still learning, but I’m trying—and I’m worth it. A Few Honest Notes (Because You Deserve That): I’m still working on potty and crate training I may have accidents if left too long—I’m not quite ready for a full workday alone yet I can be a little sensitive around food with other dogs, so thoughtful management is important But here’s the thing… I’m improving every day. And once I’m settled, I am a really happy, loving dog who just wants to belong.  Why You’ll Love Me Because when you choose me, you’re not just getting a dog—you’re getting a companion who will grow with you, trust you deeply, and love you in that quiet, meaningful way that only a once-shy dog can. If you’re willing to give me a little time… I promise I’ll give you my whole heart. Love,Mickey Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2662965##

Story
About Me Meet Sammy, a distinguished senior gentleman with a heart for routine and a growing love for human companionship. At 8+ years old, Sammy has settled beautifully into foster care and continues to show everyone just how sweet and loving he can be. While Sammy appreciates structure and predictability, he's also become quite the affectionate companion. He loves being near his people and is constantly seeking out attention, pets, and companionship from both family members and visitors. Once you've earned his trust, expect plenty of head butts, loyal companionship, and a furry shadow following you from room to room. Sammy thrives on daily walks and enjoys getting out to explore his neighborhood. He's become an excellent leash walker and is especially comfortable walking alongside a stroller. While he can still be selective about some dogs, he's grown much more relaxed and less reactive when encountering dogs outside the home. One of the biggest surprises in foster care has been how well Sammy does with respectful children. During a recent visit, he quickly bonded with his foster's 5-year-old nephew and even chose to snuggle up and sleep beside him—something he still won't do with the adults in the home! Sammy would likely do very well with dog-savvy children who understand how to respect a dog's boundaries. Sammy is also feline-friendly and does well with cats. He gets along with small dogs and enjoys lounging alongside the resident pets. While he's generally friendly, he can be selective with men and benefits from slow, patient introductions. Women and children, however, tend to win him over quickly. He's a meticulous self-groomer but appreciates help with brushing, especially along his back. Sammy can be a bit picky about food, though he'll never turn down a good beef gullet stick. Toys are still somewhat of a mystery to him, but he's perfectly content relaxing on the deck, enjoying a walk, or simply spending time with his people. Sammy is looking for a home that will appreciate his gentle nature, respect his routine, and give him the love and companionship he has so much to offer. If you're searching for a loyal best friend who will quietly become the center of your world, Sammy may be the perfect match. Apply today to meet Sammy and see if you're the person he's been waiting for. ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.  Foster Home Pets: Meet & greets are scheduled after an approved adoption application Cats at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center (Andover, MN): Some cats may be available to meet during open hours Please visit our website for the most accurate information on this pet and next steps. Story
About Me: Meet Tiptoe, a gentle soul looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally feel safe. Tiptoe is an adult, low-energy pup who prefers quiet routines and peaceful environments. He’s crate trained, good in the car, and happiest when he’s right by your side—he truly is your little shadow. Tiptoe is still learning to trust and can be timid and unsure, so he’ll thrive with someone patient who understands that building confidence takes time. He’s not interested in toys or playtime, but he absolutely loves belly rubs and simply being close to his person. Tiptoe does best with slow introductions and isn’t a fan of large dogs, though he may be okay with a small, gentle companion. He’s had some medical issues, so walks haven’t been part of his routine yet, but he’s comfortable on a leash and enjoys calm outings. Tiptoe needs a home where he can take things at his own pace and discover that there are good humans out there. If you’re looking for a quiet, loyal companion and have a peaceful home to share, Tiptoe would love to meet you. Apply today to give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves. Story
About Me Meet Kiko! At nearly 6 months old, this happy, energetic puppy is ready to find a family to call her own. Full of personality, affection, and curiosity, Kiko loves being part of the action and is always up for her next adventure. One of Kiko’s favorite things is being outdoors. She loves going for walks and walks beautifully on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for daily strolls and outdoor adventures. When the weather is warm, you’ll often find her splashing and playing in her doggy pool—a favorite pastime that never gets old! She also enjoys tug-of-war, chewing on toys, and exploring the world around her. Kiko is friendly with other dogs and children, making her a great fit for an active family. She is housebroken, kennel trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. While she’s comfortable in a kennel when needed, Kiko would much rather spend her time close to her people and would love a home where she can be part of the family. As you’d expect from a young puppy, Kiko is still learning and growing, but she’s incredibly smart and eager to please. She already knows “sit” and is currently working on “come,” impressing her foster family with how quickly she picks up new skills. She forms strong bonds with her people and happily follows them from room to room, always wanting to be nearby. If you’re looking for a playful, intelligent puppy who loves outdoor adventures, cuddles, and learning new things, Kiko may be your perfect match. Apply today and see if this sweet girl is the missing piece your family has been waiting for! Story
About Me Millie is the definition of a gentle companion. She has a calm, quiet nature and an incredible ability to connect with her people. We’ve always loved dogs that look you right in the eyes, and Millie does that more than any dog we’ve ever known. Even though she’s young, she has the temperament of an old soul—content to simply be near the people she loves. If you’re looking for a dog who won’t overwhelm you with endless puppy energy, Millie could be the perfect fit. She is completely potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys getting out for walks without demanding constant activity or exercise. Millie would thrive in a home with respectful middle school-aged children or older, or with adults. She gets along well with other dogs and is consistently well behaved around them, but she’s more interested in spending time with people than playing with canine companions, so she’s unlikely to be an energetic playmate for another dog. She’s sweet, steady, and remarkably well mannered—a loyal companion who is ready to settle into her forever home and become someone’s best friend.   WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.    Foster Home Pets: Meet & greets are scheduled after an approved adoption application Cats at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center (Andover, MN): Some cats may be available to meet during open hours Please visit our website for the most accurate information on this pet and next steps.
