Story
My personality: Playful, confident, friendly, social. My story: I was once a precious pet, but unfortunately my owner fell ill with cancer and struggled to care for me. This became a particular problem when I was hit by a car and left with an injured pelvis and an open wound on my hip. Fortunately, a kind person saw me limping and called Soi Dog for help. I was so relieved to have a safe place to rest while I recovered. My needs: As I think you can tell from my photos, I'm a big and active boy. The volunteers at the shelter are under special instruction to take me for long walks to help me burn off all my extra energy! I'd love to find someone as active as me who likes to go for walks and hikes to explore the world. DISCLAIMER: I am located at Soi Dog in Phuket, Thailand. Soi Dog charges no adoption fee for me and I have been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Adopters simply need to cover the cost of my travel crate, flight(s), and Rabies Titer Test (RTT). If you are interested in adopting me, then please inquire for further details. I woof really love it!

Story
My personality: confident, excited about life, friendly, affectionate. My story: I was living near a temple on Phuket Island being fed by local people. I managed to deal with the challenges and dangers that street dogs face for the first year and a half of my life. No one is sure what happened but a kind person noticed that I had injured my eye which was protruding from the socket and bleeding. They called Soi Dog Foundation for help and they picked me up and took me to the shelter for treatment. I was so grateful to the vets for the care they gave me but they were unable to save my eye. I have got used to having one eye and think it adds to my unique appearance. After having surgery to remove my eye I was kept at the shelter for safety and a year and a half after arriving I am ready to find my forever family. My needs: as I have one eye my adopter will need to make me aware of their approach so I'm not startled, I am an energetic girl who would love to go for walks and I look forward to spending time with humans of my own. Story
My personality: sweet, curious, cute puppy that loves walking and exploring the world. My story: My siblings and I were born near a construction camp on Phuket Island. When the camp moved we were left behind, alone and vulnerable. Without our mother our chances of survival plummeted as we were in an area inhabited by unwelcoming people. Luckily, we were found by a kind person and brought us to Soi Dog’s shelter for safety. It has been about 6 months since we arrived at the shelter and I have grown into a sweet, friendly little lady who is ready to experience a home of my own and individual attention for the first time. My needs: As I am still a puppy I will need to be taught how to live in your home. Toilet training and knowing which toys can be destroyed are just some of the things you can introduce me to. I am a friendly, gentle dog who will be a great addition to any family. Story
My personality: Gentle, tentative, nervous. My story: When I was just two months old, I was abandoned on the streets in an area where lots of big, territorial dogs lived. Being so young and having little to no survival skills, I was extremely vulnerable. To make matters worse, I had also fallen ill with a number of different health issues. By a stroke of luck, though, Soi Dog had a mobile team in the area at the time. They saw my struggle, rescued me and transferred me to the shelter for safety and treatment. My needs: My tough start in life has left me with trust issues, and I can be nervous in new environments and sensitive to loud noises. With this in mind, I will need time to adjust to my new home and patience as I do so. I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter of my life; it might just take me a little while to feel brave enough to embrace it all and let my true personality shine. Story
My personality: Sweet, curious, playful, cute. My story: Hundreds of puppies are born on the streets of Thailand every year. They have no one to care for them, and many don't survive as the challenges are overwhelming. I was lucky to be found by a kind person who alerted Soi Dog that I had a wound on my front leg. Their rescue officers then collected me and brought me to the shelter for treatment. The wound on my foot was so infected that some of my digits had to be amputated, leaving me with a different-looking paw. However, it has not affected my gait or my joy as I love walking and exploring the world. My needs: I am a young girl and have never lived in a home environment. With your help and a good routine, I will learn what is expected of me. Please give me a chance to experience life as a precious pet. DISCLAIMER: I am located at Soi Dog in Phuket, Thailand. Story
Hello! I’m Tonie, a small but mighty boy looking for a home. In a very traumatic turn of events, I lost half of my left front leg in a road traffic accident in 2023. I suffered in this condition for over a month, yet no one thought to help me. By a stroke of luck, Soi Dog had a mobile team in the area at the time, and when they found me they transferred me to the shelter for the critical care I needed. This included the amputation of the rest of my leg which was badly infected and painful. Despite this big change to my little body, I’ve adapted well and go for regular walks just like any other dog. I like to take my time on my walks, stopping here and there to rest. Sometimes I prefer not to walk at all and so the volunteers will carry me back to my enclosure instead. Luckily, I’m only 11 kilograms, so I can be scooped up quite easily. It’s also a good excuse for some extra cuddles if I’m honest! If short walks and long cuddles are your thing too then I, lil Tone, might just be the boy for you!
