Story
Jimmy Chew, previously Tom, was adopted from us as a tiny puppy and returned now due to changes in the condo pet policy. Here is what the previous owner wrote: His personality is very playful and when he's done playing w his toys, he'll wanna cuddle up and go to sleep against your legs. He's not a barker and i'd say he's 99% -100% potty trained considering he hasn't had any accidents in my apt in the last month. He understands the commands "sit" and "no" and loves "good boy"! hahah. I feed him everyday at 9am and 5pm (1 cup of dry food and I mix some wet food in as well). He grew up in nyc so he's very unbothered by noises and loves meeting new people on our walks. He loves people and other dogs, as he has many friends at the dog park. in all he really is the perfect dog Apply for Jimmy at allpawsondeck.org He now looks like a Rat Terrier / Rotweiller mix and he is 60lbs Apply for Tom at allpawsondeck.org Must be 21+ to adopt Located in Griswold, CT To adopt you must - Fill out an application at allpawsondeck.org - all your pets must be spayed / neutered and up to date - We can't adopt to MA residents due to State Laws. If the dog is posted, the dog is available. Only complete applications at allpawsondeck.org will be considered.

Story
Salt is a gorgeous white Lab/Great Pyrenees/ shepherd mix, around 70lbs. She is sweet and food motivated. Unfortunately Salt was surrendered to a Southern Shelter because her owner had "no time" for her. Salt just spent four weeks in an intensive training facility to improve her house manners. During that time she worked on waiting instead of bolting through doors, proper friendly dog interactions with other dogs and better leash walking. The rescue invested a lot of money on Salt and hopes an adopter will appreciate that and put in the effort to continue training. Salta has a lot of love to give but needs a strong leader who can remind her of the boundaries. Apply to meet Salt at allpawsondeck.org She is spayed and up to date on vaccines and preventatives.

COURTESY LISTINGLooking for a furry friend who embodies the spirit of adventure? Meet Melody, the adorable and spirited Transylvanian Hound (or maybe a Black and Tan Coonhound) looking for her forever home! At 3 years old and 60 lbs, Melody is bursting with energy, intelligence, and love. She's searching for a family who understands hound traits and can provide her with the active and engaging lifestyle she craves. Melody is a clever girl who loves playing games, especially searching for hidden toys. She already knows the command "sit" and will impress you with her obedience. When it's time to unwind, she's happy to relax with her plush toy trying to find the squeaker and keeping herself entertained. Melody is a great companion for outdoor adventures and long walks. She adores being outside and will accompany you on every exploration. While she enjoys her high-energy activities, she can also settle down and cuddle up, ready for some quality time on the couch. Melody has great house manners and is house trained and crate trained. She sleeps soundly in her crate, making bedtime a breeze. Car rides are a joy for her, and she'll eagerly join you. Melody is not a fan of cats due to her prey drive and would probably do best as the only pet in her home. She loves children and is friendly with strangers, showing her affectionate nature to everyone she meets. Like most hounds, Melody is strong on the leash. She requires an owner who can handle her strength and provide the guidance she needs. She's ready to bring her zest for life and infectious happiness into your home. Don't miss out on the opportunity to share your adventures with this special hound dog, Miss Melody! Apply to adopt today. Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions.   Meet Burton, the spirited Border Collie/Shepherd mix ready to charm his way into your heart! At just 10.5 months old and weighing 39lbs, Burton is the epitome of puppy energy and enthusiasm. This playful goofball is always up for an adventure, especially if it involves exploring the great outdoors or engaging in a spirited game of fetch. One of Burton's most endearing qualities is his affectionate nature. He loves nothing more than showering his humans with hugs and snuggles, and watching him roll around and wiggle with joy in the yard is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. While Burton is still mastering obedience commands, his eagerness to learn and please shines through. He's doing well on his potty training, showing promising progress with puppy pads indoors and he is crate trained. And although he may occasionally nibble on things he shouldn't (toes included!), his playful puppy antics are all part of his charm. Burton thrives in the company of other dogs, reveling in lively play sessions and companionship. A home with another energetic canine friend would be ideal for him, providing both playtime and valuable lessons in manners. Although Burton may be a bit shy around strangers, with patience and socialization, he's sure to blossom into a confident and loving companion. His fear of the unknown is understandable when you learn that he has recovered from being shot in the face and neck, with bullets remaining lodged in his body. He's a brave survivor with a zest for life, ready to embark on new adventures with his forever family. If you're prepared to continue Burton's training journey with patience and love, and provide him with a home filled with laughter and play, then he just may be the perfect match for you. So, what are you waiting for? Apply to meet Burton and discover the joy of having a playful pup by your side!    Interested in adopting? COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for ROO. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Introducing Roo: Your Energetic and Affectionate Companion! Roo is a 2 1/2-year-old Mountain Cur weighing approximately 50lbs. This handsome pup is bursting with energy, always ready for an adventure. However, when he's seeking affection, he knows how to switch into a calm and loving mode. One of the most endearing qualities about Roo is his love for affection and his favorite pastime—running and doing zoomies in the yard! You'll find yourself charmed by his playful antics and infectious joy. Watching him fetch and play with toys is an absolute delight. Roo is a well-trained dog who knows commands such as sit, wait, place, and kennel. He recently completed a 30-day in-board training, demonstrating his eagerness to learn and please his human companions. If needed, his caregivers are more than willing to cover the cost of additional training to ensure a smooth transition into your home. When it comes to manners, Roo is house-trained and has excellent crate behavior. He understands the cue to kennel up and is comfortable spending time in his crate. You won't have to worry about any accidents or destructive behavior. Roo enjoys playing fetch, spending time with his favorite toys, and socializing with other dogs. His friendly nature makes him an ideal playmate for canine pals of all sizes. Although he hasn't been around cats, livestock, or many children, he may be tempted to give chase to small creatures out of playfulness. From a medical standpoint, Roo is in excellent health, with no known concerns. Roo has shown compatibility with dogs and adults; however, he may need some time to warm up to new people. Slow introductions and a gentle approach are key to helping him feel comfortable. He walks well on a leash and rides calmly in the car, making him a great companion for outings and adventures. This sweet and intelligent boy thrives in an understanding and loving home. He's eager to continue learning, and his caregivers believe he would benefit from activities like swimming, as he showed great interest and enthusiasm during his encounters with the pool. If you're seeking a loyal and fun-loving companion who will keep you active and entertained, Roo is the perfect match. Adopting Roo means gaining a friend for life who will shower you with love, energy, and affection. Ask us about Roo today!    Interested in adopting?
