Story
Zena is about six and a half years old lab/pug mix. She's about 40 pounds. She's been in a loving home since she was adopted at 4 months old. She does perfectly on her own, and doesn't mind being left alone at home when you are out and about. She likes to take naps and sunbathe during the day, and waits for the moment when you open the door and welcomes you with her wagging tail. She's been in doggy daycare and boarding facilities, and she's friendly with other dogs. She enjoys playing with her BFFs but also finds peace in calmness and solitude. She can be shy at first but after she warms up to you, she's a sweetheart and will paw at you and ask for back scratches. Zena is in great health, up to date on her shots and on flee and tick preventatives. Her favorite food is sweet potatoes. Zena loves to go on walks and does well with a no-pull leash. Zena is low-medium energy and happy with two walks a day. She likes to roll in the grass and play in the snow.

Story
Minnie Moo adores humans, love and cuddling. She is super gentle, she'll crawl up on the couch or bed slowly to lay with you, and does her best to not step on you. She's house trained and has remained uncaged while we are at work. Why we are rehoming: Minnie Moo must be the only dog in the house. While she has never hurt or attacked a person, she is very food and toy possessive around other animals. We absolutely love Minnie, but unfortunately we have two other dogs and we can't continue to put them at risk, as she has attacked them before. Minnie has been wonderful with our cats, as long as they don't get near her while she's eating, but we recommend she just be the only animal. My wife and I are about to adopt a child and can't have the risk of her fighting in front of them, of the child getting in the middle. We've tried meds to calm her, but nothing has worked sadly. She is an AMAZING dog besides this. Requirements to re-home: - Must be only dog - Must have fenced yard

Story
Hi! Lil Roscoe here. I`m looking for a forever home.If you`re looking for a medium-sized pup, I`m a convenient size. My foster mom thinks I might be a bit younger than my paperwork says I am. I`m certainly younger at heart! I`m a happy and energetic boy, and I`d do well with a family that has the time and energy for an active dog. I`m working on not jumping up on people, so for now, even though I`m friendly with everyone, I`m probably best with older kids. I not only do very well with other dogs, I really need another dog in my home. So if your dog would like a friend, I`d be perfect for the job! I`ve been getting a little practice around cats recently and have done well so far.I really like to chew and enjoy playing with (and killing!) my toys. If you like to cuddle, that`s one of my favorite things too. That and belly rubs! I`m fine with being crated and am basically potty-trained (full disclosure: I have been known to leave my foster mom a `present` in the middle of the night, but other than that, I do my business outside). If you`re looking for a dog to go on walks with, I have nice leash manners. I travel well in the car. What do you think? Could we be a match? Let`s meet and find out! Just fill out a no-obligation application. Story
Meet Amazon! ?(Professional Snuggler, Amateur Drama King)Amazon is an adult Corgi mix weighing in at a compact 25 pounds, which is the perfect size for maximum cuddles and minimal personal space. He is a certified snuggle bug with a flair for the dramatic—think Oscar-worthy sighs when you stop petting him too soon.Amazon is very food and treat motivated (some might say extremely), which makes him both easy to train and very convinced he deserves snacks at all times. He’s a smart guy and will thrive with training—especially if snacks are involved. He’s got excellent crate manners: his crate is left open, he comes and goes on his own, and he sleeps in it overnight like a polite little gentleman. During the day, he’s had free-roam privileges and has handled them responsibly. (One note from Amazon’s management team: he eats like he’s in a competitive sport, so a slow feeder is highly recommended). Amazon prefers to be the main character, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet and no young kids, please. He likes his spotlight uninterrupted and his humans all to himself. In return, he offers unmatched loyalty, endless cuddles, and dramatic reactions to minor inconveniences.Bonus perks:- Great in the car- Devoted, affectionate, and deeply bonded to his person/people- Adds personality to every room he entersAmazon would be a fantastic match for someone looking for their one-and-only loyal companion—a dog who will love you fiercely, cuddle you relentlessly, and remind you daily that you are, in fact, late with dinner. If interested in being charmed by all things Amazon, please fill out a no-obligation application today so his people can get in touch with your people!Email: kristym@almosthomefoundation.netAdoption fee is $360Almost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements: ?1) Be at least 21 years of age2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household3) Have approval from the residence owner4) Have valid ID with current address5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only) *** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, Zelle, or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards.***
