Story
I am a cute, very friendly dog . l was found by a vet tech in Alabama, eating out of the trash at a local car dealership by the clinic.  I was vetted down south, and tested positive for heartworm. I have recently been treated. But I am currently on restricted activity (no long walks or rough play) while I recover from heartworm for the next couple of months. I get along with the dogs in her foster home. I am people and children friendly. I enjoy entertaining myself with my toys and like to rest on a couch or dog bed when I get tired. I enjoy a yard to explore and going on short walks. You can meet me at one of our next adoption shows or you can email to find out more about me.Adoption fee is $360Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and`(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, Zelle, or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Meet Wembly—Wembly is an adorable, bright-eyed puppy with a heart overflowing with love and a mind that’s always ready to learn. He’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and picks up new things with impressive ease. Whether he’s exploring the yard or playing with toys, his joyful, curious spirit shines through in everything he does. This sweet boy communicates beautifully with other dogs after a proper introduction and gets along wonderfully with cats, too. He’s also a dream in the home—fully potty trained, crate trained, and respectful of his space. Car rides are no problem for him; he settles in and rides calmly, happy to be part of the adventure.Wembly can be shy meeting new people, so he appreciates slow, gentle introductions. But once he feels safe, his affectionate personality comes forward, and he becomes an incredibly loyal and loving companion. If you’re looking for a puppy who is playful, intelligent, and has all the makings of an exceptional lifelong friend, Wembly is ready to meet you. Please fill out a no-obligation application today. He can’t wait to find a family to love!Adoption fee is $460Almost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements: ?1) Be at least 21 years of age2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household3) Have approval from the residence owner4) Have valid ID with current address5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only) *** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, Zelle, or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards.***

Story
Hi Everyone! I`m Lil Roscoe, and I`m looking for my forever home.If you`re looking for a medium-sized pup, I`m a convenient size. My foster mom thinks I might be a bit younger than my paperworks says I am. I`m certainly younger at heart! I`m a happy and energetic boy, and I`d do well with a family that has time for an active dog. I`m working on not jumping up on people, so for now, even though I`m friendly with everyone, I`m probably best with older kids. I do very well with other dogs and would happily share my home with a canine friend. I really like to chew and enjoy playing with (and killing!) my toys. If you like to cuddle, that`s one of my favorite things too. That and belly rubs! I`m fine with being crated and am basically potty-trained (full disclosure: I have been known to leave my foster mom a `present` in the middle of the night, but other than that, I do my business outside). If you`re looking for a dog to go on walks with, I have nice leash manners. I travel well in the car. What do you think? Could we be a match? Let`s meet and find out! Just fill out a no-obligation application.Adoption fee is $360Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and`(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, Zelle, or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Rigley, a husky mix female pup, came into rescue due to the sudden passing of her owner. She is heartworm positive and is being treated. She definitely is high energy as a working dog. Loves yard zoomies and all kinds of toys. Very devoted and listens really well. Rigley has had zero accidents in the house. She is crate trained - likes to go in there even when she doesn`t have to. Loves humans and other dogs, with proper introductions. Do not know about cats. She is a very loving and faithful companion (follows me everywhere). Loves treats of all kinds. Story
Hi there— nice to meet you! My name is Popcorn, and just like my name suggests, I’m full of bounce, energy, and a whole lot of heart. I’m about 50 pounds of what’s believed to be pure Border Collie (though no one’s sent in the DNA test yet!), and I’ve got the smarts, agility, and charm to prove it. I pick up commands incredibly fast — I already know sit, stay, paw, come, and more, and I’m always eager to learn new things. I also respond to the name ‘Hiro’, just in case you hear someone call that and I come running!I’m an athletic guy who absolutely needs space to move. I can jump really high, love to do zoomies, and thrive in a home with a fenced yard where I can stretch my legs and let my herding instincts kick in a little. Apartment life just isn’t for me. I love going on long walks, hiking, and car rides — basically, if it involves being active and outside with my people, I’m all in. I’m also very dog-social and enjoy playing with other pups. In large groups of dogs, I sometimes try to “herd” the fun (what can I say, I’m a working dog at heart), but I get along well with just about everyone— including cats! That said, I’m a bit of a sensitive soul. Small, unpredictable kids make me anxious, so I’d feel more comfortable in a home with older children or adults who understand I do best with calm energy and consistency. I’m crate trained and do well when I have structure. I don’t guard my food, and I’m very polite at mealtimes — I’ll even wait my turn without fuss. However, I do have a bit of a mischievous side: if you leave food on the counter or the trash unattended, I might just help myself. I’m working on it, promise!Despite my active nature, I’ve got a soft, cuddly side, too. I love snuggling up at the end of the day and being close to my people. I may be energetic, but I’m also affectionate and loyal — once I bond with you, I’ll be your shadow. With the right home, a bit of guidance, and lots of love, I know I’ll make an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a smart, playful, affectionate dog to share your adventures (and your couch), I might just be the perfect match. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out a no-obligation application today so we can get to know each other better!Adoption fee is $360Almost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements: 1) Be at least 21 years of age2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household3) Ha
