Story
A mom nursing a litter of 9 puppies with their eyes barely opened were found alone in a rural area. The mom, Nora, was emaciated and also turned out to be heartworm positive. Nora has been a great Mom to the babies and now that they are weaned she can start her heartworm treatment. Mom will be available for adoption at a later date. Her babies are all social, happy and playful. They are good with people and other dogs. We do not know what they think of cats. Some of the pups look alike and others don't which means different daddies were probably involved. Cassidy is about 11 weeks old and weighs about 10 pounds. Please help Cassidy find the loving home she deserves. Nora's puppies: 4 boys (Ethan, Nate, Riley & Tyson) and 5 girls (Anna, Cassidy, Daisy, Katie & Nova) ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to please submit an application on our website today so that we can try and process and pre-approve any potential adopters prior to our next adoption event.
