Story
Lola is a 15-year-old, 10½ lb small companion dog (likely Maltese/Shih Tzu mix) with a sweet, affectionate nature and calm presence. After a lifetime with one loving owner, she’s seeking a quiet home where she can be a close companion again. She is in good health for her age, mobile, and engaged. Lola enjoys short walks, exploring at her own pace, and staying near her people—whether following you around or resting beside you. She is house trained, sleeps through the night, and uses her crate as a comfortable space. She walks well on a leash and settles when left alone for short periods, sometimes barking briefly before calming. Lola is gentle and people-oriented. She may be shy at first but bonds closely and enjoys being held. She can manage stairs slowly and may appreciate help onto furniture. She has some age-related hearing and vision loss but adapts well. With limited pet exposure, she would do best in a calm, consistent home.

Story
&#226&#128&#139 Affectionate. Snuggly. Loyal. Friendly. Handsome. The list of Hudson’s amazing qualities could go on forever — but lately, one trait has really stood out: this boy is exceptionally intelligent. Hudson isn’t just a pretty face — he’s what we like to call doggie Ivy League material. At just 3 years old and 62 pounds, he’s a quick learner who thrives on mental stimulation and truly loves training. New tricks and agility games? Bring it on. Hudson lights up when his brain is engaged, and he’s happiest when he has a purpose. We believe there’s some working breed in his genes, and it shows in his focus, drive, and desire to bond deeply with his people. He’s eager to please and would thrive in a home that understands the needs of smart, active dogs and can keep him challenged with ongoing learning and enrichment. Hudson’s dream home? A family who values his intelligence as much as his cuddles. Someone who’s excited to teach him new tricks and skills. A best friend who appreciates both his active side and his heart of gold. Check out his reel: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1017875406805291     Age: 3 years    Weight: 62 lbs    Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative and on prevention    Temperament: Good with other dogs, and older, respectful kids.      Training, House trained, crate trained, knows several commands    Email for questions: sonali@doggieharmony.org    To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Excellent family dogMeet Sadie – Proof That Age Is Just a Number  Sadie may have a little gray on her muzzle, but don’t let that fool you—this 10-year-young, 60-lb girl still has the heart and energy of a pup half her age! She loves to run, play, and be part of the action, making her a wonderful match for an active family. One of Sadie’s greatest talents? Snuggling. When playtime is over, she’s more than happy to curl up next to you and soak up all the love. She’s also a dream house guest: fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy enough to be left alone uncrated—no destruction, no drama. Sadie adores kids and adults and gets along well with other dogs (though she’d do best without tiny dogs—she’s a little too enthusiastic and might accidentally step on them!). Sadie at a Glance: Age: 10 years Weight: 60 lbs Temperament: Fantastic with kids, adults, and most dogs Training: House-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who’s past the puppy chaos but still full of life, Sadie could be your perfect match! Questions? Email amy@doggieharmony.org *** To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.doggieharmony.org/forms) for caretakers to review. Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. A good Samaritan rescued Indy from being abandoned . He is fostering in a home with an older, easily stressed small dog and 2 kittens - Indy has too much interest in the kittens so this is not the ideal situation. We think this pup’s ideal home would be as a solo pet or possibly as a sibling to another large dog. He is super friendly, playful, energetic, and sweet. He loves people, loves to be active, and enjoys playing fetch though he may get distracted here and there. He’s very lovable! He is easy to bathe and does great in the car. He is very food and treat motivated so we believe he will take to additional training well. He has a big heart and has a lot of love to give to anyone who wants to love him right back. We think he will make a great adventure buddy for a lucky person or family! Working with him on sitting and leash training. He does well in the bath and the car Age: approx 3-4 years Weight:  70 lbs, underweight, working on improving that Temperament: Gets along with with older kids, not tested with toddlers, other dogs his size, with proper introduction. Training: Housetrained, crate-trained Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm  treatment is paid for and underway. Story
Mavi is wondering when her family will come!? This 3 year old girl is the best of both shepherd and collie breeds! Brilliant and spirited  with a zest for life, she will make the perfect addition to an active family! Mavi was lucky enough to be a participant in Big Hair Dog Services’ training program where she thrived. This girl greeted every training challenge with the focus and motivation of a true star student. We are so proud of her and she is ready to show her forever family what she has learned!! She is crate-trained, house trained and knows to sit at every barrier (door)  before exiting! She loves zooming around the yard with her dog friends and would do great in a home with a large, male companion…she’s quite the charmer. And at around 50 lbs, this little lady is the perfect size for a road trip buddy!  Mavi is currently still residing with her trainer in MA but is willing to travel most anywhere for her forever home. Even better, her trainer is willing to provide free training by video conference to ensure she maintains her rockstar training status! Contact us for info on your future best friend today; Mavi has been waiting for YOU!!
