Photo of Cristal

Cristal

Labrador Retriever Husky

Female, 3 yrs 5 mos
Sparta, NJ
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Due to no fault of her own, Cristal was surrendered due to the breakup of her humans and neither parent could take her with them. From her foster: Cristal is the perfect housemate for anyone looking for a well-mannered and loyal companion. She has excellent house manners and can be trusted to stay home alone without needing a crate. A sweet and affectionate girl, Cristal may take a little time to warm up to new people. Once she trusts you, however, she becomes a devoted "Velcro dog" who will happily stay by your side wherever you go. Cristal loves hikes, outdoor adventures, and spending quality time with her person. As long as she's with her family, she's content and eager to join in on any activity. She would thrive as the only dog in the home, as she prefers not to share her family’s attention with other canine companions. Cristal is fully house-trained and sleeps soundly through the night. Because her play style can be a bit enthusiastic and rough at times, she may be best suited to a home without very young children. If you're looking for a loving, loyal, and well-behaved companion, Cristal could be the perfect match. 🐾 Note: Cristal does not like to have the top of her head touched so a home with older children that understands this is preferred.

Marti

Husky Australian Shepherd

Female, 3 yrs 8 mos
Sparta, NJ
Size
(when grown) -
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Marti has touched so many people's hearts and she is very special to us. Marti is one of our shelter fire survivors. She spent weeks in the hospital recovering from severely burned paws, enduring painful dressing changes and restricted movement. As you can imagine, it has been more than a physical recovery but an emotional and psychological recovery for our resilient girl. Her paws are now healed and she is able to walk unrestricted again. Marti would do best in a home where she can get ALOT of outdoor walks and hikes and yard play, someone who is home alot to keep her company, keep her mind active and keep her on a regular schedule. Marti is super smart as well - she has had basic training and agility training certificates with her previous owner and needs to have things to challenge her high energy brain to keep her busy. She loves to play with toys and will hop on her toys and will thrown them up and play on her own. She was originally surrendered when grandchildren moved into the home and there was an issue with resource guarding of toys & food so Marti would do best in a home without kids. We know there is someone out there who can understand our girl and give her the love and structure she needs to thrive. Marti's adoption fee is $200. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Tiffany is our office girl! She lounges around more often than she helps work/do chores, LOL! Tiffany is a shy girl and takes time to warm up. Once she knows and trusts you, she is just happy and looking for affection! In the play yard, she loves to zoom around and is starting to play with toys. You can see the smile on her face as she lopes around, checking things out and then come to you for hugs and belly rubs! Tiffany is comfortable going into her crate and often goes in on her own. She is mostly quiet except when a stranger first comes to the door she will growl but also run and hide. Tiffany is housebroken when she is on a regular schedule. She keeps her crate clean and will go to the door as well if she needs to go out. She prefers low keyed other dogs and would do best in a quieter household. If you can give Tiffany the time she needs to acclimate into your home, you will be rewarded with an amazing, loving new family member! *Note: Tiffany tested Lyme+ in 2025 and has since completed her antibiotic treatment. She is feeling great and ready to go home with you! Tiffany's adoption fee is $400. This also covers all her age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

Kane

Chihuahua Miniature Dachshund

Male, 1 yr
Sparta, NJ
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Little Kane ended up in a shelter when his owner had to move. Probably the best thing that could have happened to him because he was infested with fleas & had hair loss from flea dermatitis/itching. He has been treated for the fleas, neutered and given all his shots. This little guy is feeling so much better now. Kane is loaded with fursonality. He gets along with other dogs but is a little too interested in cats. Once he gets to know you, he is a love bug and loves to be held. Imagine how much more adorable he will look once all his hair grows back in! Kane's adoption fee is $500. This covers all his appropriate shots, vetting, microchipping, neuter.

Story
Though he is a "senior", Benny is still loving life. He LOVES to play fetch with tennis balls and is also an expert treat catcher! He lived with another dog but has not been around cats. Benny is a sweet, friendly soul. Benny is an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. He is a former OSCAR dog whose Mom unfortunately has some medical issues and is no longer able to care for him. Benny tested positive for tick disease and is on a course of oral antibiotic (any remaining pill will be sent home with his new family). Benny's suitcase is all packed with his tennis balls to go home with you! Benny's adoption fee is $300. This covers all his age appropriate shots and vetting. Tennis racquet included!

Female, 6 mos
Sparta, NJ
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ronja is a very good natured, loving girl. Also affectionately called our "Roni Macaroni", she is a staff favorite! She is very playful, happy, affectionate and gets along great with other dogs. Our Roni Macaroni is food motivated and already knows "sit" and is working on "paw". Ronja has been to several adoption events where she was such a good pup and many people stopped by to say hi but we are all perplexed why she keeps missing out on a family of her own. Regardless, Roni Macaroni still has a smile on her face and is ever hopeful she will meet her loving family soon. Could it be you? Ronja's adoption fee is $450. This also covers all her age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.
