Story
Birthdate Jan 14th 2025. Rocco is about 17 months, he weighs about 70lbs and is tall and lean, He is fixed, up to date on all shots, micro chipped, He has a very strong prey drive , very high energy, i cannot provide a fulfilling life for him. I tried my best and have raised him the best I could since he was 12 weeks old. He is going stir crazy from pent up energy that I can't help with. Putting him on a runner in the yard or a walk around the block is not fair to him. He needs to be out doing what is in his blood line...hunting. plott hounds were originally bred to hunt bear and wild boar. Maybe he would do well herding on a farm too. I dont know what he is mixed with as he is not purebred. He loves people and other dogs. Experienced hound/hunting/farm dog owners ONLY.

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Due to no fault of her own, Cristal was surrendered due to the breakup of her humans and neither parent could take her with them. From her foster parents: "Cristal is just a pleasure to have as a house guest. She’s potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash and best of all, is so playful and affectionate. She knows basic commands and is food motivated making her easy to train. Crystal is very watchful and intuitive and just wants to be by your side. She loves tug toys, but most of all squeaky toys (the louder the better!) and playing fetch with them. Any adventures are a highlight of Cristal’s day! Car rides, walks, hikes- she loves them all and gets so excited when she sees her leash out. She just wants to be by your side and in on the fun. Cristal is very observant and extremely intelligent. She knows commands- sitting for her meals, waiting, off (except when she just can’t control her excitement!) and is well behaved both inside the house and outside. Cristal walks beautifully on the leash and has been trusted home for short periods of time (2 hours). She has pretty blonde fur, talks to you in her own language of little woofs and those big brown eyes follow you throughout the day! " Note: Cristal does not like to have the top of her head touched so a home with older children that understands this is preferred.

Marti

Husky Australian Shepherd

Female, 3 yrs 6 mos
Sparta, NJ
Size
(when grown) -
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Marti has touched so many people's hearts and she is very special to us. Marti is one of our shelter fire survivors. She spent weeks in the hospital recovering from severely burned paws, enduring painful dressing changes and restricted movement. As you can imagine, it has been more than a physical recovery but an emotional and psychological recovery for our resilient girl. Her paws are now healed and she is able to walk unrestricted again. Marti would do best in a home where she can get alot of outdoor walks and hikes or yard play, someone who is home alot to keep her company, keep her mind active and keep her on a regular schedule. Marti is super smart as well - she has had basic training and agility training certificates with her previous owner and needs to have things to challenge her brain to keep her busy. She loves to play with toys and will hop on her toys and will thrown them up and play on her own. She was originally surrendered when grandchildren moved into the home and there was an issue with resource guarding of toys & food so Marti would do best in a home without kids. We know there is someone out there who can understand our girl and give her the love and structure she needs to thrive. Marti's adoption fee is $200. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Opie is one of our shelter fire survivors. He is bright, knows how to sit, wait, lay down and working on some other commands. Opie had initially been adopted as a puppy into a home with 5 children and then returned. The household chaos and noise made him anxious so now we are looking for a quieter home for him. We were told after playing and tiring himself out, he loved to cuddle up and take a nap on the couch. He loves long walks, treats, playing with his toys and giving kisses. Opie walks very nice on a leash and is friendly to other dogs he meets. We do not know what he thinks of cats. He is very bright, knows how to sit, wait, lay down and working on some other commands. Opie is about 1 year old and 52 pounds. Opie's adoption fee is $375. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, spay/neuter, microchipping and vetting.
