Excelsis is a beautiful Shepherd/Border Collie mix who is about 12 years old and 65 lbs, looking for her forever home. Celsie, as she is lovingly called at EHR, would be a great companion for a dog savvy owner. She needs a family that will work with her on manners. She is playful and energetic, but has a timid side around people she doesn't know. Celsie has learned "sit" and "off" and is currently working on leash manners. She is dog friendly but not good with cats. Celsie would do best in a home with adults who are willing to give her the one-on-one attention she has been waiting for. Lucy is a beautiful little Boxer mix girl, about 10 years old and 40 lbs, who loves going for walks and playing outdoors.  She’s had a fair amount of training and knows her basic commands, but as with any dog, she could use an owner who will keep up her training. Lucy is cautious upon meeting new people but once she trusts you, her loving side shines through.  She has a strong personality that requires an experienced dog owner. Lucy loves to go for rides in the car, walks at the park, swimming, playing with her toys, and spending time with her favorite volunteers. She has spent far too long waiting for her forever family to come along (almost 7 years in the shelter...). Meet Lucky!!! He might not have been so lucky in the past, but we hope he will be lucky in the future.  Lucky is a Labrador Retriever/Cattle dog mix who was surrendered to a kill shelter because the kids were no longer interested in him and the mother didn't want to pay for someone to watch the dog when they went on vacation!!!  Lucky is amazingly affectionate, eager to please and housebroken. He bonds quickly with his owner and is protective of his both his home and owner. Because of this, he would make a great watchdog in a quiet household.  He should go to home with an experienced, adult dog owner and he must be the only dog in the house.  Lucky is very energetic and playful, he should get daily exercise, and a fenced in yard would be ideal.   11th Hour Rescue now wants to give this sweet, loving boy the chance to find a family who will love him, appreciate him, and treat him like one of the family. Lucky has undergone training for leash manners and basic obedience.    Lucky is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Our Diamond girl may look like a plain little black dog but she is anything but ordinary!  At 7-8 years old, this little munchkin has a 100 watt smile that can light up a room and brighten your day.  Despite having lost her home due to serious illness a while back, she is upbeat and entertaining and a joy to be around.  Diamond loves to explore and it’s comical to watch her….whether she’s surveying the play yards, or investigating a pile of blankets on the floor.  She also loves car rides and walks with her best volunteer pals.  But right at the top of her list of favorite things, is getting loved on by her people!  If you talk to her and pet her, she will look into your eyes and hang onto your every word.  She’s such a special little girl. Diamond has waited far too long for a home to replace the one she lost.  She has so much love to give and we want someone to love her in return.  She’s a nice tidy size, around 35 lbs. and she knows some basic commands.  She needs to be the only dog in the house, so if you’re looking for one special friend, she may be perfect for you! Dillon is a handsome senior bulldog mix with the cutest underbite ever!  He is housebroken, non-destructive when left alone, walks fantastically on leash and absolutely loves car rides!  He also loves to run around and play fetch!  He is good with dogs but needs to learn some manners while playing with them.  He is a little sensitive to being petted at first but once you form that bond with him, he just loves to cuddle (watch out he snores and hogs the bed!).  He would do best in a quiet home with DOG SAVVY adults with minimal visitors (or be willing to put him away when having visitors which he doesn’t mind).  Please give this boy a chance and let him live his senior years in a home.    April 24, 2024, 11:06 am
