Story

Meet Freya! She is a loving, sweet bulldog (of sorts) that needs to be Re-homed at no fault of her own. She is kind and gentle with our cat and small dog and loves to rough house with bigger dogs. She loves sweaters and cuddles! Freya has allergies that cause her to scratch herself relentlessly. In the two years that we have had her we have been able to take her from almost hairless to comfortable in her own skin. However she does still have flare up that’s cause her to rehash some problem areas (mainly her chest) The reason we need to find her a new home is due to our concern with the yeasty skin flakes that come off of her while she is having a flare up with a newborn baby on the way. Her treatment consists of a cytopoint injection every 8 weeks and a bath with anti fungal shampoo every ten days. We want ti ensure that whoever may take Freya knows that she does require a little extra work than some dogs but she makes up for it with an extra big heart. Thank you!

Mr. Apollo here is an active and smart boy. He enjoys solving his doggie puzzles, having lick mats, laying in the sun, and playing with his toys. He is a very good boy in the car and enjoys walks. He is house trained and knows sit, stay, lay down, spin, and free. A new home for Apollo would be best with another dog since he loves playing. He is very sweet and gentle to young children. He also prefers nuzzling into a folded blanket (over a bed) so he can nest.

Bentley is fostered in Pleasonton, KS. Meet Bentley. Bentley was surrendered to us when his owner had some medical issues and was unable to continue caring for him. Bentley came in a little under-socialized and slightly overweight but he has come A LONG WAY! Bentley's date of birth is 9/6/2022, he is a male neutered Australian Shepherd mix who weighs 50 lbs. Bentley is silly, funny, and a bit of a goofball! His true personality started showing up and it makes him SO adorable! We think Bentley needs a forever home with another dog, a fenced yard and someone who will meet him where he is in his socialization, be patient with him so he can settle in and build a bond/trust with them. Once that trust is built, watch out! He will be his goofy silly self! Bentley loves it when his foster mom asks him questions, he does this cute head tilt and cocks his ears up like he is listening to every word she says! He is SO smart! In his prior home before coming to rescue, Bentley spent great deal of time in his crate. For this reason, he did not receive proper socialization. Socialization is something his foster home has diligently been working on with him. She has been desensitizing him to many things, including leash walking, grooming, other dogs and other people. Bentley previously experienced some fears in some area, but he really has put in a lot of work and he is making wonderful progress in all areas. Bentley is in a foster home with 4 legged canine fur siblings of various ages and sizes, and does well with them. We are unsure about cats. Bentley is more of a low-key guy who is looking for an adopter who enjoys the same type of lifestyle. He prefers a home where there are less comings and goings. We also recommend a physically fenced yard and a home that is both patient and has no children under age 12, and a canine companion. would be ideal for this guy. Bentley is a talker. The more you talk to him, the more he expresses his feelings. Bentley is what we term a "work in progress", but he is the type of dog that will quickly become your best friend once trust is gained between you. Bentley needs a hero and a new best friend. Lilly is fostered in Delton, MI. Meet Lilly, a beautiful standard Black Tri, blue-eyed, bob tail Australian Shepherd born on November 5, 2022 and currently 3.5 years old! This gorgeous girl was surrendered to us out of love by her former owner, who needed some medical attention of his own and could no longer take care of her. Lilly is a 50 lb bundle of love, loyalty, and sweet morning snuggles! What a GOOD girl! Lilly’s previous home was with a single male, and she is currently being fostered in a home with a single female & 2 dog friends. She does fantastic in both settings! A couple or a single person looking for a velcro, four-legged sidekick would absolutely love this girl! If you want a true companion who wants to be right by your side through your day, Lilly is your perfect match. She has been out and about camping with a ton of people and other dogs and was SUCH a good girl! Personality & Home Manners The Ultimate Velcro Dog: Lilly wants to be a part of whatever you are doing. Whether you are walking, gardening, watching TV, or working, she will happily glue herself to your side. Excellent House Etiquette: She is completely potty trained and house broken. She has great house manners, does not require a crate, and currently enjoys free roam of her foster home. Sweet & Social: Lilly is a happy, smart, and loving companion. She excels with food-based introductions to strangers, rides beautifully in the car (usually just laying down in the back), and handles bathing, brushing, and nail trims wonderfully with a peanut butter lick mat as a distraction. She also does great at the vet! Alert Companion: Like a typical Aussie, she will let you know when things are happening outside with an alert bark, but she is highly intelligent and easy to redirect with a simple "no" or "thank you" cue. Companionship & Lifestyle Needs Dog & Cat Status: Lilly does well with other dogs in a playful, neutral way and is currently being fostered with a 56 lb male and a 23 lb mini female. She could easily be an only dog or live with a canine friend. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Kids: Her previous owner recommended no young children. Because of this, she would do best in an adult-only home or a family with older teenagers (12+) who have experience living with dogs. The Perfect Environment: Lilly is looking for a less busy, calm(er) environment in a country, small town, or suburban setting rather than a busy, large city. She would love a home focused on true companionship and being the center of attention! A fenced yard isn't strictly necessary, as she develops wonderful recall once she bonds with her person. Health & Energy Level If you love the intelligence of the Australian Shepherd breed but aren't looking for a high-intensity sport dog, Lilly is a rare gem. She is an active, playful girl who enjoys outings. She also has a good off switch when the adventure is over. Lilly has been seen by a vet for a possible partial CCL tear. At this time, she does NOT require surgery, but she will never be a dog sport gal. Because of this possible tear, her physical activities are semi-restricted to keep her healthy and comfortable. Fen is fostered in Centerton, Arkansas. Meet Fen! Your new best friend is waiting! Fen is a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd with a heart just as big as his personality! This sweet boy is the perfect mix of playful, goofy, and cuddly, and he’s ready to find a family to call his own! Fen LOVES other dogs and would absolutely thrive in a home with canine friends to play with! He’s still figuring out the whole playing thing, but that doesn’t stop him from bouncing around, joining in on the fun, and making himself part of the action. He especially loves playing ball and is happy to share the fun and take turns with his doggy friends! When he’s not busy being a silly boy, Fen is a total sweetheart who loves attention and cuddles. He also has a nice independent side and is perfectly content spending time on his own. He’s crate-trained, potty-trained, and has done wonderfully hanging out in his foster room without tearing anything up! Fen is a smart boy, too! He already knows sit, shake, and down and is ready to keep learning. He enjoys going on walks but is just as happy zooming around the yard. And when he’s outside? Get ready for his signature move: jumping straight up in the air while letting out the happiest little “woo!” to show the world just how excited he is. It’s impossible not to smile watching him! Idabelle is fostered in Peoria, IL. Idabelle is looking for her next, and last, adoptive home. She was previously owned by a gentleman that passed away. After his death, his spouse had to move and Idabelle could not go with her. Idabelle was born 05/15/2018 and weighs approximately 55 lbs. Idabelle is a gorgeous red tri female Australian Shepherd. Idabelle would LOVE all your attention, as that is exactly what she is used to. She is crate trained and house trained. She has excellent house manners and actually doesn't need a crate. She can be a bit timid with new folks, but warms up nicely with treats. She is a lower energy gal that just wants to be with her people. She would LOVE to have a human to snuggle with and accompany when running errands. She is great in the car and loves to go for rides. She would do best with children over 10 years of age. She has not been tested with cats. Idabelle is fostered with other dogs, however, she can protect her toys and food a bit in some instances She is very easily redirected and there have been no major concerns with this. Her goal in life is simply to be with her people, enjoy a few squeaky toys, play a little tug and follow her people around. If you're looking for a sweet companion, then Idabelle is your gal.
