Appa is a 2-year-old Johnson-type American Bulldog, born April 1, 2023. Appa is goofy, playful, energetic, and affectionate once he’s comfortable. He can be skittish in new environments and benefits from patience and consistency while adjusting. He has a strong prey drive and cannot live with small animals, cats, birds, or small dogs. He may do best with dogs his size or larger following proper introductions. He has done well around children. Appa requires an experienced adopter familiar with strong, working-type breeds. He is intelligent but stubborn and would benefit from structured training and clear boundaries. Appa has one documented bite incident in a high-stress situation and has not bitten again. Because of this, he needs an adult, experienced home that understands dog behavior and management. We are seeking a new home because our household can no longer meet his needs safely or appropriately. Our goal is to place Appa in an environment where he can succeed long-term.

JJ, AKA;Jack; he is 8 years old Is a very smart dog, trained to sit , lay, follow commands, He is on schedule and aware of schedule - he understands human words Loves attention, loves to have companion, loves walks. He was bottle-fed as baby had lots of love and attention. I was his only owner, He is getting up there in age and showing signs of it. He will still fetch ball and has spurts of energy, but not all the time. JJ recently has been experiencing some behavioral issues out of the blue, he forgets who we are when startled, he doesn’t know who we are until he visually sees us He gets aggressive at times, then snaps out of it. JJ needs a companion and a home without children, he may be ok with other dogs , he has been with our 2 others just fine and visits with family dogs. Fenced in yard, if not supervised He would be perfect for a one on one companion and watch over the house while owner is not home.

Rosie is a nearly 2-year-old, medium-sized mixed-breed dog with a huge heart and lots of love to give. She is sweet, affectionate, and gentle, and has never shown aggression. When she’s calm, she’s a cuddle bug who bonds deeply with her people. Rosie had a rough start to life and is a sensitive, anxious girl who needs a patient home. She has a lot of energy and does best with regular exercise and mental stimulation—when she can burn that energy, her anxiety improves. She would thrive with someone who enjoys daily walks or structured activities. Rosie can be fearful of new people, dogs, and sudden movements, and may bark or growl out of fear (not aggression). She needs continued socialization and a calm, consistent environment. A quieter home with experienced owners and limited foot traffic would be ideal. Another calm dog may help her feel secure, but it’s not required. We love Rosie deeply and are committed to finding her a forever home where she can feel safe and thrive.

Nala is an 3yr old German Shepherd. Her birthday is July 30. We are looking for a new home for her that will have the time for her. Unfortunately we are so busy with work and kids and their club sports that require travel. She does have behavioral issues. That limit the people that can take care of her. She has severe anxiety with people. She will need training. Preferably someone that has experience. We want her to live the best life she can.

Story

We took Rascal in after his abusive owner went to jail. We have been trying to get him into a home and its been a challenge because of his age and the fact that he has some aggression. He has no teeth so he requires food that can be smashed. He has been around my dogs and my kids and the only time he gets aggressive is when he thinks he needs to "protect" like when my boys are playing fighting. I think he has been through alot and it probably sets him off from his past. With his past owner he was living in a storage and also outside in a freezing car. We havr gotten him to a point where he is so much better. We just cant keep him much longer. We have a really busy schedule and nobody is home during the days to let him outside. But he is a sweet and loves his blankets.
