Story
Maddie is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart—and then naturally makes herself part of your life. Sweet, steady, and deeply affectionate, she has a calm confidence that makes her feel instantly familiar, like a dog you’ve known much longer than you have. At about five years old, Maddie is a medium-sized mixed breed with an extraordinary history of care and devotion. She arrived at Adoptable Friends with her eight puppies and was a patient, gentle, and unwaveringly attentive mother. She was a calm, nurturing presence for her litter, guiding them with ease and kindness. Maddie is incredibly people-oriented and greets life with an open heart. She doesn’t hesitate with strangers—she assumes they’re friends. She enjoys being part of daily life and is happiest when she’s included, whether that’s quiet time at home, walks through the neighborhood, or simply being near her people as the day unfolds. She would do best in a home that wants a true companion dog—one that includes her in everyday routines and sees her as part of the family, not just a pet on the sidelines. Maddie is adaptable, affectionate, and eager to connect, making her an easy fit for someone looking for a steady, loving presence in their home. Maddie is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. Her adoption fee is $400. Maddie is ready for the kind of home where she can finally belong fully—not just as a rescue dog with a past, but as someone’s chosen companion moving forward. In return, she offers something simple and rare: steady love, quiet joy, and a dog who is truly happy just to be with you. Story
Meet Harrison Ford! This handsome boy never stops smiling. If you are looking for a highly intelligent companion with a big heart to always make you laugh, Harrison is the goofy guy for you! Harrison loves nothing more than spending time with people. Some of his favorite activities are sunbathing (absolute favorite), playing monkey-in-the-middle (only if he’s in the middle), smart toys, watching human reality TV, and his favorite snack is blueberries.  He is looking for a forever home where he can be the only dog and a family that can manage his autoimmune condition which he receives medication for. Harrison has been in foster care at Reach Rescue since he was a 4 month old puppy and is holding out hope that someone out there is willing to take a chance on him! He has the biggest heart to give in return. Story
Just like her sweet name, Biscoff is a gentle girl with a heart that's slowly blossoming. She has made incredible progress in foster care and is looking for a patient family who will continue to help her shine. Biscoff is both potty trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. She gets along well with most dogs, although she may bark at other dogs while she's on a leash. Once she's had the opportunity to meet them appropriately, she does well and truly benefits from having another confident canine companion. Watching and following her furry friends has helped her gain confidence, so a home with another friendly dog is a must for this sweet girl. One of Biscoff's favorite parts of the day is her long daily walks. They've become something she genuinely looks forward to and have played a huge role in helping her build confidence. After a nice walk, she's always ready for treats—especially her favorite afternoon chew! Biscoff has come so far. She now comes to her foster mom asking to be picked up onto the couch or bed, where she'll happily snuggle up beside you for pets and cuddles. While she loves affection, she prefers it on her own terms and can still be nervous if someone reaches down toward her while standing. She'll need a family that understands she's still building trust and will let her move at her own pace. Because she's still timid, Biscoff will need to remain on a leash whenever she's outside to keep her safe. If you're looking for a sweet, quiet companion and have a friendly dog who can show her the ropes, Biscoff will reward your patience with the most heartwarming moments as she continues to grow into the confident, loving girl she's becoming.   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 11-3 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person.   Follow us on Facebook for additional updates and sneak peeks of new dogs!  https://www.facebook.com/reachrescue ##2764505##
