Story
She is fine with animals. However, she is a bully. She is extremely people picky and does not like to be approached, she prefers to make contact. She is extremely food driven in any type of training. She will get into any food possible, if left unattended. She’s still very hyper. Overall, she’s a really good dog and just needs the love. I don’t have time to give her right now.

Story
Athena is an almost 2yr old husky and came to us from a previous home where her owner was forced to move due to financial and personal issues. She is very small for her breed (28lbs) and we are working to put a bit more weight on her. As far as personality she is very playful, affectionate and sweet tempered. We have 4 other dogs and a cat in the house and she plays with them any chance she gets. She does get along best with our larger male dog and tends to get snippy with females. As a young husky she is an active breed and does need a home that can provide her with walks or at least a companion to play with if possible. However, she will absolutely entertain herself with a ball, stick, random piece of lint- she just loves to play! Not a huge barker or howler but she does yip when she’s ready to leaver her kennel or when she wants to play.

Story
*Hank is part of our Take Time to Fall in Love Promotion. See our Adoption Procedures page for more details.* I was removed from a neglect situation with another dog so yes life wasn’t really fun and there was obviously not much love. Here I can be a little timid at first but as one of the Canine Care staff members described me, once I am out, I am like a big baby, climbing into your lap and soaking up all the loving and attention I am getting. They are also introducing me to toys and they look fun though I’m still not quite sure what to do with them. I’ll chase them and then run back to the dog walker for some more petting. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. (Of course, this still means that I may not like every single dog) So if you have a dog, why don’t you bring him in so we can meet and see how we may do together.

Story
*Royal is part of our Take Time to Fall in Love Promotion. See our Adoption Procedures page for more details.* Things I love: people, tennis balls, running outside, blankets, rolling in the grass, treats and more. I’m a very handsome guy, always ready to flash you one of my “signature” smiles. While I may be a little shy meeting some new people, a couple of treats is all it takes to become great friends. I am also pretty smart, and ready to learn more. I am very affectionate and a real cuddler. At night, I sleep deeply and snore loudly I’m told. This just means that I had an active day filled with a lot of loving and play time.

Story
*Wendy is part of our Take Time to Fall in Love Promotion. See our Adoption Procedures page for more details.* Sit, down and paw, come…can I learn more? I am an active girl and I enjoy a nice game of fetch. When someone is getting ready to take me out, I can sometimes get excited but then calm down as they put the harness on me. Going for a long walk is fun. I also love water so bath time is always a special moment with staff. They can pick me up, even carry me like a big baby. I enjoy all this extra attention, you know the massage and shampooing. While not mandatory, a fenced-in yard would be awesome so I can run around. I like to keep fit so an active person would be awesome but most importantly, I want to be loved.
