Bentley is fostered in Pleasonton, KS. Meet Bentley. Bentley was surrendered to us when his owner had some medical issues and was unable to continue caring for him. Bentley came in a little under-socialized and slightly overweight but he has come A LONG WAY! Bentley's date of birth is 9/6/2022, he is a male neutered Australian Shepherd mix who weighs 50 lbs. Bentley is silly, funny, and a bit of a goofball! His true personality started showing up and it makes him SO adorable! We think Bentley needs a forever home with another dog, a fenced yard and someone who will meet him where he is in his socialization, be patient with him so he can settle in and build a bond/trust with them. Once that trust is built, watch out! He will be his goofy silly self! Bentley loves it when his foster mom asks him questions, he does this cute head tilt and cocks his ears up like he is listening to every word she says! He is SO smart! In his prior home before coming to rescue, Bentley spent great deal of time in his crate. For this reason, he did not receive proper socialization. Socialization is something his foster home has diligently been working on with him. She has been desensitizing him to many things, including leash walking, grooming, other dogs and other people. Bentley previously experienced some fears in some area, but he really has put in a lot of work and he is making wonderful progress in all areas. Bentley is in a foster home with 4 legged canine fur siblings of various ages and sizes, and does well with them. We are unsure about cats. Bentley is more of a low-key guy who is looking for an adopter who enjoys the same type of lifestyle. He prefers a home where there are less comings and goings. We also recommend a physically fenced yard and a home that is both patient and has no children under age 12, and a canine companion. would be ideal for this guy. Bentley is a talker. The more you talk to him, the more he expresses his feelings. Bentley is what we term a "work in progress", but he is the type of dog that will quickly become your best friend once trust is gained between you. Bentley needs a hero and a new best friend. Chancellor is being fostered in McFarland WI (Madison WI area) Meet Chancellor — “Chance” Look at this HUNK! Chancellor, affectionately known as Chance, is a stunning blue merle standard Australian Shepherd with gorgeous heterochromia—one of those handsome boys who definitely knows how to turn heads! Chance is approximately 3 years old and currently weighs about 51 pounds. He arrived in rescue with another Aussie, Bishop, after the two boys were found as strays running at large. Sadly, they were in rough shape when they came to us—dirty, matted, smelly, with extremely long nails and collars that appeared to have been on their necks for a very long time. We suspect they may have come from a breeding situation and were eventually discarded. There is still quite a bit of mystery surrounding Chance's past, but what we do know is this: Chance is the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart. This handsome boy is full of charm and gentle little tail wiggles. Right now it’s mostly the tail, but I have a feeling the full-body wiggles are just waiting to make an appearance once he feels safe and loved. Chance is still learning that humans can be trusted. When he was found, he was living on the streets, matted, dirty, and in need of care. Because of that, he’s understandably shy and cautious. He doesn’t quite know what to make of people yet, but every day he takes another small step forward. He’s a gentle soul who loves when his person simply sits with him. Read a book nearby? He’s happy. Spend quiet time together? Even better. He doesn’t need grand gestures—just patience, kindness, and someone willing to move at his pace. Chance is crate trained, lets you know when he needs to go outside, and isn’t afraid to use his voice when he has something to say. He’s vocal in a charming way, but not excessively so. He likes to keep things neat and tidy, enjoys chewing on toys once he remembers what they’re for, and is learning what it means to let someone else care for him. Loud noises can still be scary, and he’s not quite sure what to think about a leash, but he handles one beautifully. He’s also discovering the joy of being a dog—playing, chasing, and wrestling with other dogs. While he enjoys canine companionship, Chance would do best as an only dog or with a calm, non-aggressive dog who can be patient as he learns how to make friends and navigate dog relationships. He’s still figuring out social cues and building confidence, and he deserves a companion who will give him grace along the way. Because Chance is still learning to feel safe in the world, he would do best in a home without young children. Older children who understand dog body language, can respect boundaries, and know how to give a frightened or overwhelmed dog space may be a good fit. His future family should be committed to helping him feel secure and allowing him to move at a pace that feels comfortable to him. What Chance needs most is someone who sees beyond the shy exterior and understands that trust takes time. Beneath that uncertainty is a big heart waiting to shine. With patience, consistency, and love, Chance will blossom into the loyal companion he was always meant to be. He deserves a home that will remind him every day that humans are good, that he is safe, and that his best life is still ahead of him. And when that spark finally shines, the lucky person who earns his trust will discover one of the most devoted companions they could ever ask for. Chance needs a fenced yard. Lilly is fostered in Delton, MI. Meet Lilly, a beautiful standard Black Tri, blue-eyed, bob tail Australian Shepherd born on November 5, 2022 and currently 3.5 years old! This gorgeous girl was surrendered to us out of love by her former owner, who needed some medical attention of his own and could no longer take care of her. Lilly is a 50 lb bundle of love, loyalty, and sweet morning snuggles! What a GOOD girl! Lilly’s previous home was with a single male, and she is currently being fostered in a home with a single female & 2 dog friends. She does fantastic in both settings! A couple or a single person looking for a velcro, four-legged sidekick would absolutely love this girl! If you want a true companion who wants to be right by your side through your day, Lilly is your perfect match. She has been out and about camping with a ton of people and other dogs and was SUCH a good girl! Personality & Home Manners The Ultimate Velcro Dog: Lilly wants to be a part of whatever you are doing. Whether you are walking, gardening, watching TV, or working, she will happily glue herself to your side. Excellent House Etiquette: She is completely potty trained and house broken. She has great house manners, does not require a crate, and currently enjoys free roam of her foster home. Sweet & Social: Lilly is a happy, smart, and loving companion. She excels with food-based introductions to strangers, rides beautifully in the car (usually just laying down in the back), and handles bathing, brushing, and nail trims wonderfully with a peanut butter lick mat as a distraction. She also does great at the vet! Alert Companion: Like a typical Aussie, she will let you know when things are happening outside with an alert bark, but she is highly intelligent and easy to redirect with a simple "no" or "thank you" cue. Companionship & Lifestyle Needs Dog & Cat Status: Lilly does well with other dogs in a playful, neutral way and is currently being fostered with a 56 lb male and a 23 lb mini female. She could easily be an only dog or live with a canine friend. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Kids: Her previous owner recommended no young children. Because of this, she would do best in an adult-only home or a family with older teenagers (12+) who have experience living with dogs. The Perfect Environment: Lilly is looking for a less busy, calm(er) environment in a country, small town, or suburban setting rather than a busy, large city. She would love a home focused on true companionship and being the center of attention! A fenced yard isn't strictly necessary, as she develops wonderful recall once she bonds with her person. Health & Energy Level If you love the intelligence of the Australian Shepherd breed but aren't looking for a high-intensity sport dog, Lilly is a rare gem. She is an active, playful girl who enjoys outings. She also has a good off switch when the adventure is over. Lilly has been seen by a vet for a possible partial CCL tear. At this time, she does NOT require surgery, but she will never be a dog sport gal. Because of this possible tear, her physical activities are semi-restricted to keep her healthy and comfortable. She requires a home that will NOT be doing any dog sports or high-impact activities, focusing instead on lower-impact options—like casual hikes, light games of fetch, puzzle toys, and water activities like swimming. She also loves sniffaris and exploring with you! Her knee will simply need mindful management, and she will need to continue taking joint supplements to keep her feeling her best! Lilly is incredibly food-motivated, making her a dream to train and bond with! She LOVES food and knows when it's mealtime! Fen is fostered in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Meet Fen! Your new best friend is waiting! Fen is a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd with a heart just as big as his personality! This sweet boy is the perfect mix of playful, goofy, and cuddly, and he’s ready to find a family to call his own! Fen LOVES other dogs and would absolutely thrive in a home with canine friends to play with! He’s still figuring out the whole playing thing, but that doesn’t stop him from bouncing around, joining in on the fun, and making himself part of the action. He especially loves playing ball and is happy to share the fun and take turns with his doggy friends! When he’s not busy being a silly boy, Fen is a total sweetheart who loves attention and cuddles. He also has a nice independent side and is perfectly content spending time on his own. He’s crate-trained, potty-trained, and has done wonderfully hanging out in his foster room without tearing anything up! Fen is a smart boy, too! He already knows sit, shake, and down and is ready to keep learning. He enjoys going on walks but is just as happy zooming around the yard. And when he’s outside? Get ready for his signature move: jumping straight up in the air while letting out the happiest little “woo!” to show the world just how excited he is. It’s impossible not to smile watching him!
