Mrs. Potts and her son, Chip, are looking for a forever home together! The two are always together and inseparable and their bond is very heartwarming to experience. Mrs. Potts and Chip are potty pad trained. They will cuddle with their human once in awhile but they spend most of their time snuggling together. They get very excited when it's time to eat but they should be fed in a separate area at mealtime if other dogs are in the home. Mrs. Potts was recently spayed, received a dental, and had numerous mammary tumors removed that were benign. She has arthritis that she will need daily pain medication for but she's a happy girl.

Story

What a smile, how is it that she's so happy? Janelle is a lovely soul full of excitement, happiness, and always ready to play. She has a curious nature and likes to investigate anything new. Janelle is a smiley, vibrant, affectionate and sweet . Like a good shepherd she is extremely loyal to her folks. Janelle was relinquished earlier this year and boy are they missing out on a good dog.  She is food motivated, crate trained, learning to walk better on a leash, she likes to play fetch and play in the lake. On one of her running escapades (before we owned her) Janelle got loose and broke her front right paw, unfortunately it healed out of its natural born position. At this time there is no need for medical intervention. It gives her no pain or bother and she gets along quite well. What we are learning about Janelle is that she was a wild child that grew up with no structure. This caused her to be a little nutty and reactive to strangers. We have her currently working with trainers an she is showing wonderful improvement an learning to trust new people.  Janelle has shown a sweetness towards children and she absolutely loves to be with dogs. She still needs to warmup to some new dogs but is quite playful. On leash Janelle still needs some training on her impulse control during social settings with both dogs and adults. She is very excited by cats and annoys them with her pushy nature, very shepherd like in character. Although she isnt aggressive, we prefer she only lives with dog savvy confident cats. We were told that she is a Golden Poodle and German shepherd mix. Her father was a very large golden doodle and mom was a shepherd.  The ideal home for Janelle would include some loving humans that understand leash reactivity and stranger danger in dogs. She really needs an owner to commit to continuing her socialization and training. A person that enjoys spending free time with their dog and will take her under their guiding wing and into the loving shelter of their home.  Kids over the age of 7 years old would be recommended. Ziti is an amazing senior girl who is loving every minute of her second chance since being rescued and would love to find her forever person. Ziti is diabetic and requires daily insulin and she is also missing one eye that had to be removed for medical reasons but nothing slows her down. She is super well behaved and does great with all other animals in the home!

Story

    Meet Farfella, now known as Nala. She was adopted from us a few years ago and recently came back into our care. This sweet girl is quite the vocal, herding shepherd dog. She loves trying to be in control but loves the guidance from a strong leader. She is extremely driven to learn, fetch, and have fun. Nala enjoys playing on a lakeside and dipping her toes in the water, she does well in groups of other dogs and also can relax when it’s time to cool down. Nala is leash and crate trained, a good listener and would do best in a home that loves dogs with energy.  Nala does well with children over 5 years old, she loves all adults, and doesn’t seem to mind strangers. Although she can be a little sensitive like many shepherds. Nala does well with cats and dogs. Copo is a cuddly, early rising, cute attention seeking old man. He is currently looking for a new home due to family complications. Copo likes his quality time with his favorite people and makes a great  personal heater when he snuggles. This old man is very food  motivated, he loves praise, can be strong willed and can be playful at times when he is feeling spunky. Copo knows how to ask for potty breaks with a bell. Due to age and too many pets he can mark occasionally but may not show that  behavior in a calmer household with more attention on himself. Copo has lived with cats and dogs and does well. He can be more specific with dogs, especially males but it depends on the individual personality overall.
