Meet Sweet Christopher Christopher is an absolutely adorable approximately 1-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing in at just 11 pounds of pure love. This little guy may be a bit timid when you first meet him, but give him a little time and patience and youll discover the most affectionate, devoted snugglebug imaginable. This sweet boy will prove to be worth every minute. Once Christopher trusts you, he bonds quickly and wholeheartedly. He loves to be by your side, soaking up cuddles and giving sweet little looks that will melt your heart. Hes incredibly loyal and happiest when hes with his persons... young to old. He loves his toys, enjoys playtime, and has the perfect mix of spunky energy and cozy couch companion. He has excellent house manners... no jumping or barking, walks beautifully on a leash, he's house trained, and is an absolute rockstar in his crate. Christopher adores other dogs big or small and truly needs a home with an active doggy companion to help him continue building confidence and having fun. A playful canine buddy will bring out the very best in him. Meet Alexis!! At just 11 weeks old, Alexis is the definition of a sweet natured puppy. This adorable girl has a soft temperament, a gentle nature, and a calm aura that makes her a joy to be around. She loves to sit back, observe the world around her, and take everything in stride. Like most puppies, Alexis enjoys her naps and can often be found snuggled up after a busy day of learning and exploring. When shes awake, shes eager to please and excited to learn new things. Shes already making great progress walking on a leash, coming when called, and learning basic commands like sit. While her litters DNA results suggest a mix of Great Pyrenees and Shepherd, Alexis seems to be taking after the Shepherd side a bit moreboth in her expected size and in her desire to be close to her people. She loves human companionship and is sure to form a strong bond with her future family. Alexis is doing wonderfully with crate training and is currently being fostered with six other dogs, giving her an excellent foundation for success in her forever home. Shes expected to continue growing into an amazing family companion. If youre looking for a gentle, loving puppy with a calm personality and a heart full of potential, Alexis may be the perfect match for you. Lets find this sweet girl the forever family she deserves! Story
Introducing the Schitts Creek Litter Mama Moira came to For Good rescue, extremely pregnant and abandoned!!She even had buck shot bullets in her face! But despite being let down by humans, she entered our rescue as sweet as any dog could be!! She gave birth to 14 puppies 3/20/26 and has been an excellent mama, but its time for these babies to move on to their forever families!! Given that mama is an 85-pound anatolian shepherd mix we expect these puppies to be large as adults. (80 ish girls. 100 ish boys) we are not sure on dad - could be German shepherd like with the sable coats. We really hope they take after their moms calm, sweet demeanor.!!! Right now, in foster each are learning the ropes of life and growing into their personality day after day!! Heres how the Fosters describe them - Meet Ronnie! This incredibly smart and affectionate little girl wears her heart on her sleeveand that heart is almost always overflowing with happiness. She is the queen of wiggles and kisses, and she will make sure you know exactly how she feels. After she burns off some energy with a few happy zoomies around the yard, shell find her people to cuddle up for pets and quiet time. She is currently living with both dogs and cats and is doing wonderful with everyone.   If youre interested in one of our dogs or would like help finding the perfect match please submit an application at: https://forgoodrescue.net/dog-adoption/We will not discuss details regarding any particular dog if you have not yet applied to adopt. For Good Rescue is a 100% volunteer nonprofit organization. Story
Tucker was surrendered in Oklahoma and was left with no options. When he arrived in Illinois we quickly learned that men were on his "naughty" list and that he may have had a harder first few years than we had hoped. Lucky for him he found an amazing foster mama who took him in and showed him a life of love and companionship. He is great with dogs and cats and crate trained. He can be a little naughty with potty if not watched but has gotten better every month he is here. He loves to lounge on the couch after a jaunt around the yard and will be your best side kick with his loyal nature. Tuckers ideal home would be similar to his fosters- an understanding mama ( no daddy please) with or without other dogs and cats, and no kiddos. Tucker has a lot of love and silly antics to share with the right family. Could it be yours ?? Story
Meet Leo a sweet, gentle boy with the perfect balance of playful puppy and cuddle buddy charm. At about 45 pounds full grown, Leo is an ideal size for many households: big enough for adventures, but still perfectly content curling up beside you for naps and quiet evenings at home. Born in July, Leo is about to celebrate his very first birthday, and were hoping more than anything that he gets to spend it with his forever family. Leo loves making dog friends, enjoys walks with excellent leash manners, and takes treats with the gentlest thank you. Hes not the type to bulldoze people when meeting them in fact, he can be a little shy at first. But give him a little time and patience, and hell become your loyal shadow for life. This handsome boy is house and crate trained, food motivated, eager to learn, and happiest just being near his people. Hes great with other dogs and is even curious and friendly with cats. Leo is also delightfully expressive, a little talkative, and full of personality once he feels comfortable. If youre looking for a loving companion who will happily join you for walks, playtime, and cozy couch naps, Leo may just be your perfect match. Story
Meet Charlie! Charlie is a sweet little Lab mix puppy who was surrendered to a rural shelter in Southern Illinois and made his way to For Good Rescue to find the forever family hes been waiting for! At just 9 weeks old and 6 pounds, Charlie is a tiny guy now, but we expect hell grow to be somewhere around 4050 pounds full grown. Charlie is a happy, social, and well-adjusted puppy who takes life in stride. While he enjoys a good wrestling match with his brother and plenty of puppy playtime, hes equally content to sit back and watch the world go by. After some fun and adventure, youll often find him stretched out for a nap, recharging for his next round of puppy antics! One of Charlies best qualities is his easygoing nature. Hes not a super needy puppy and doesnt demand to be the center of attention every minute of the day. Instead, hes the kind of dog who enjoys being part of the family while bringing a calm, steady presence to your home. Like all young puppies, Charlie is still learning about the world around him and will need continued guidance with house training, crate training, and all the important puppy life skills. With love, patience, and consistency, hes going to blossom into an incredible companion. We know Charlie is going to make an awesome addition to the right family, and we cant wait for him to find the forever home he deserves.
