Lucy came to IAMRA when her owners health and financial situation changed. Lucy is a big, beautiful, 8 year old red headed gal. She is very sweet, we are told she is good with *some* other dogs (so she is picky about her doggie friends) but never met a person she didn’t like. More as we get to know this pretty girl. Petey is a spectacular approximately 5 month old Heinz 57 special. We are not sure of his mix but we think possibly shepherd, hound, heeler? Petey is funny and smart. He catches on very quickly with his main goal of doing the right thing. Petey wants to learn and tries very hard to be a good boy. He has a great attitude and his connection to people is deep. He loves nothing more than being talked to and cuddling with his person. Petey loves to play and loves getting attention from his people. He's good with other dogs and with cats, too. He loves water and can spend an endless amount of time splashing in his baby pool. Petey is working on his potty training and will potty immediately upon going outside. He is perfectly crate trained and sleeps thru the night in his kennel. Petey is very treat motivated and he is a quick learner. Petey’s zest for life is contagious and watching him run and play is an absolute joy! Petey's adoption fee of $375 includes vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, Rabies vaccine, flea/tick control, deworming, heartworm preventative, microchip and neuter.

Nova is a 6 year old red and white malamute that came in with Sequoia and Luna. Sequoia seems particularly bonded to her. While these three do very well with each other, they have displayed some dislike toward other dogs of both sexes, especially when they are together a pack. Nova is a very tall girl and presents herself as the reserved lady of the the three, putting up with their shenanigans and maintaining her dignity. Her clown comes out every so often. Loves being pet and playing. Loves people but is timid and hesitant at first. Can get overly excited and energetic but can and will lay down and take naps. Lives being outside. She has anxiety so she can be scared of anything depending on the day. Does better with smaller dogs can play well with bigger dogs. Does okay with children. Problem is she does not tread carefully around them. Don’t have a problem walking over them and knocking them over if excited.
