Story
She is fine with animals. However, she is a bully. She is extremely people picky and does not like to be approached, she prefers to make contact. She is extremely food driven in any type of training. She will get into any food possible, if left unattended. She’s still very hyper. Overall, she’s a really good dog and just needs the love. I don’t have time to give her right now.

Story
Mocha is a cute 15-month female red standard poodle who is smart, inquisitive, food motivated, and can learn very fast. She already knows: sit, down, stay, come, yes, no, potty, and paw. She loves going for car rides and playing with her toys, chewing rawhide bones, and cuddling with her owners when they are working or watching TV. She is spayed, microchipped, AKC registered, up to date on all vaccines, and on monthly fleas/ticks/heartworms prevention. She is also crate & potty trained and used to going to the groomer.  Although she has a lot of potential, she does need some training to become the perfect pet. She is full of life and has a lot of energy so she needs access to a fenced backyard, a dog park, or someone very active who likes to walk/run often. Additionally, she does not handle separation very well and she will cry and bark when left completely alone. She is a bit shy and hesitant around new people, but she is curious and becomes friendly after a positive introduction.

Story
This is Rose, she’s 2 years old and I adopted from a shelter 2 years ago. Her favorite words are “walk” and “outside” she loves stuffed toys especially when they squeak. More than anything she love’s attention and to cuddle. She enjoys being at dog parks. Ideally I’d like for her to have a back yard or more out door time. She’s always had another dog with her but recently she’s been a single dog.

Story
Hello this is my dog chapo I got him from some people who were selling a liter he is 3yrs old he’s a amazing dog love love loves to play good with cats and dogs loves attention, unfortunately I don’t have time for him and he deserves to have a caring loving family who can give him all the attention he deserves, I’m hoping he can go to a home where he will be well taken care of, definitely with other animals he does kinda have separation anxiety so I would think he needs another fur friend, a family who can be with him a lot and play with him. He does have a little bit of a skin condition not exactly sure what he’s allergic to but his skin tends to turn red and gets itchy but I take him to the vet where I work at and he gets a few injections and he’s fine, same with his ears they get itchy but with some ear drops every few months he’s good

Story
Will you be Mona's HERO??If you'd really like to RESCUE a dog and really make a huge difference consider a Mona. She is far from perfect but who's perfect anyway? She has such a gentle, kind spirit. She LOVES walks and car rides. She has some medical issues but they are totally manageable. They have prevented her from getting adopted. Don't let that stop you from adopting her!!Here's her back story:We agreed to take Mona in when she was only eight-weeks-old. She was a very sick little puppy. She had daily seizures and was completely incontinent. Since that time, many years ago, her epilepsy is managed well and the incontinence is almost completely gone. She only has occasional accidents overnight but we think that's more due to being stubborn about going outside to potty the last time at night, not because of incontinence. So making sure she goes outside to go potty around 10:00 p.m. would solve that likely. Her seizures are controlled with medication and the bladder surgery took care of her leaking mostly. She is on medication for the incontinence which really helps! For a dog who had a grim future it's truly amazing how far she's come. Now all we have to worry about with Mona is finding her the best possible family that can love her as she is...not quite perfect but so incredibly darling. A tenacious, independent, confident, mischievous, joyful and sensitive husky, that's our Mona. She is a bit protective when she's in her cage so we think a family with small kids wouldn't be right for her.Mona loves to play in water and would love a baby pool in her yard in the summertime. She loves walks so much and is both affectionate when she wants attention and aloof at times too, which is being what huskies can be! She loves the snow, her crate, and her nylabones. She is very smart and sensitive too.Mona co-exists with other dogs and can even play with another dog if they other dog is pushy about play but otherwise she lives without issue with other dogs. She is not good with cats or small critters. She lives with a family with a eight-year-old child. But she would be best in a family with kids over ten only because she can get a bit protective around her cage when she steals something and brings it into the cage with her. Yes, Mona can be naughty...but not too naughty'':)Mona is on medication for her seizures and incontinence. The total cost is roughly $100.00 a month. Because of her medications she needs quarterly blood tests. Additional medical expenses should be anticipated and money set aside just in case.A home visit will be required to adopt Mona so please only adoption applications within an hour of Libertyville, IL._________________________________________________________________________Adoption Donation for Mona is $ 425.00WANT TO MEET MonaThe first step would be for you to go to our website at www.aear.org and then to the “Adopting a Pet” page to read about our Adoption Process which will answer many of your questions and then to fill out an Adoption Application. Also, please visit our very active Facebook Page for updates on Mona and our other adoptable pets with AEAR - www.facebook.com/aear.orgAll our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. Story
George is a very sweet and loyal pooch to the ones he loves. He's slow to warm up to new people so his new owners will need to be understanding of that. He's been good with the dogs and cats in the foster home. Because he's shy we think it's best he go into an adult only home.George is snuggly and a fabulous lap warmer._________________________________________________________________________Adoption Donation for George is $ 525.00WANT TO MEET GeorgeThe first step would be for you to go to our website at www.aear.org and then to the “Adopting a Pet” page to read about our Adoption Process which will answer many of your questions and then to fill out an Adoption Application. Also, please visit our very active Facebook Page for updates on George and our other adoptable pets with AEAR - www.facebook.com/aear.orgAll our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes.
