Story
Robin is happy girl who loves to play but likes her down time as well. She can be very timid when she first meets people but craves attention. Her age is estimated to be 3 years old and she weighs approximately 45-50lbs. In April, Robin was found dumped in a remote park, along with another German Shepherd mix, Batman. She has been in a foster home since then that has helped to build her confidence and trust in people. Robin would love to have another dog to play with, and her ideal family member would be Batman, who is also available for adoption. While they can be adopted separately, they’d be happy to be back together. Robin loves to play ball and will go as long as you’re willing to throw it. She loves other toys as well and will entertain herself. Her home must have a very secure, fenced yard as she is a run risk. She can never be taken off leash outside of a contained yard and we strongly recommend that she wear her harness and be double clipped to her harness and collar on walks. Robin has a strong prey drive and will take care of any moles in your yard but has done well with cats indoors. We aren't sure if a cat was outdoors and ran if her prey drive would kick in, so we suggest a home with no cats or indoor only cats. We also recommend a slow introduction with the cats having a place they can escape to while they adjust to life together. Kids in the home must be dog savvy, and aware enough to know that they can’t forget to close the door.

Story
Clyde was abandoned, along with another Rottweiler, Bonnie, in a remote area on Interstate 90. Volunteers, including SVPS founders Susan Burk and Dorie Ross, helped to capture them and get them to the local shelter for their mandatory hold time. Following their hold time, they were transferred to our rescue. His age is estimated to be 4-5 years old. Both Bonnie and Clyde are currently in a boarding and training program, where they are doing incredibly well. They are both goofy, lovable dogs that will make great family members. Both would like to eat their meals in one big gulp, but they are being trained to wait until they are given the command to eat, and we have them eating from slow feeder bowls, which is helping. They aren’t exhibiting resource guarding behavior. While Bonnie and Clyde were found together and obviously lived together previously, they are not a bonded pair, and our trainer has recommended that they be separated. They listen and work better when being trained one on one. As for other dogs, they have been indifferent so far when seeing other dogs at the training facility and will need to meet and be evaluated with any dogs already in the family. Clyde is pretty outgoing and warms up to people quickly. He’s a happy boy who loves attention. Since being in board and train, his confidence has grown along with his obedience training, and we have no doubt it will continue to do so.

Story
Batman is a gorgeous, happy boy who is energetic and looking for a home with a strong leader who is active and will keep him busy and engaged. His age is estimated to be 2-3 years old and he’s approximately 80-90lbs. In April, Batman was found dumped in a remote park in Snoqualmie, along with another German Shepherd mix, Robin. Batman wasn’t neutered when he was first found and had some attitude, wanting to do things on his own terms. He has since been neutered and more importantly, he’s spent quite a bit of time at board and train. He is now a total love bug but will need an owner with power breed experience that can lead him instead of letting him lead them. Batman loves the ladies, and would do well living with a female dog that he could play with. Robin, who he adores, is also available for adoption and while they can be adopted separately, they’d be happy to be back together. Batman is mostly indifferent with male dogs as long as they are not intact. He may be able to live with a male dog, but he’ll need to be tested with any dogs already in the family. With a lot of energy to burn, he’d love to be a running buddy or hiking buddy, NEVER off leash, or have a huge, fenced yard where he can play fetch with his favorite toys. He does know how to settle down and just chill too but understand, he will need his exercise or he will likely get up to no good. Batman is currently in a home with younger children and has been great with them, but they are also very dog savvy, so we recommend older children but are happy to discuss on a case by case basis. We have not yet evaluated Batman with cats other than at a distance, but he hasn’t shown any interest so far.

Story
I have an interesting dog that I need to be rehome. Relocating this week. Woodrow is a 4 year old, 130# Malamute/Newfoundland, neutered and gastropexy. Shots are due in July. He is the sweetest guy and puts his head into your hands, he leans on you for love. He is currently guarding large breed goats. He will walk on leash / responds well to correction collar, knows tricks. Great around people , strangers, children over 5 because he is so big. He will let me cut his nails on my own. He will play with toys and do a little fetch. He’s particular about new dogs due to guarding the goats from the neighbors dogs. But I have integrated another with him before and it went well. Story
Looking for a soul dog for the quiet adventures — forest bathing, weekend camping, and everything in between?Meet Max: Three Legs, One Big HeartHi, I’m Max, a 5 year old, 60 lb Husky who’s living proof that you don’t need four legs to live your best life.My story starts in Lebanon, where I was found with gunshot wounds so severe my leg had to be amputated. I was alone, in pain, and had been through more than any dog should ever endure. An incredible team of animal rescuers found me, refused to give up on me, and fought hard to get me every bit of care I needed - multiple surgeries, treatment for blood parasites, and so much more. That journey brought me all the way here, and I’ve never looked back.I lost one of my legs, but honestly? You’d barely know it. I hike, I explore, I roam — and I do it all at an easy, unhurried pace that makes every outing feel like a good idea. I’ve also been doing good off-leash lately, which makes adventures with me that much more fun.I’m independent, easygoing. I don’t require constant entertainment or attention. I’m happy just being with you, whether that’s trotting alongside you on a leisurely hike, joining you on a camping trip, and quietly hanging out beside you at home after my sniff walk. With people, I am pure sweetness. I love being petted, I’m super treat-motivated, and I’ll reward your patience with so much loyalty. I do best in a home with a yard where I can wander and sniff around. Apartment life may not be a good option for me.A note about mealtimes - I like my food to be mine. A home where dogs are separated during mealtimes and food or resources aren’t left lying around is exactly the kind of setup where I thrive. Simple management, no drama. If you’re someone who enjoys having an independent soul dog, loves getting out in the outdoors, and wants a one-of-a-kind adventure buddy, I think we’d make a pretty great team.Three legs. Zero limits. All heart. 🐾If you’d like to make me family, reach out to my rescue PawesomeBaby!———————————————Max will be arriving the Pacific Northwest end of May. Please contact us to meet him and adopt him when he arrives. We are looking for an active family for him.
