Story
Benji is a ~4 year old Golden Sammie rescue from Korea. We have had him about a year. He’s a very sweet boy, loves walks and belly rubs. Good with our cat and mostly good with other dogs. The only downside with Benji is he has resource guarding tendencies - he can be possessive and defensive of toys and treats. Once he got comfortable with us it wasn’t an issue with us, but can be a challenge when we have guests. This has been manageable as we have largely been able to control the environment while working on training around this. We are looking to rehome him because we are expecting our first child and worry that he won’t be very compatible with a baby/toddler given the resource guarding issues.

Story
Meet King, or Kingston as his foster mom sometimes call him. When I asked my kids how they would describe King, one said, ‘literal big softy’; another one said, ‘laid back and equally happy being close to you or just near you.’ What does foster mom think? That King is almost perfect. He loves people and other dogs. He might be a bit too curious about cats, but I do feel like he could learn what they are and be fine with them once that curiosity had a chance to be explored.King is housetrained, crate trained, doesn’t bark inside, LOVES to play fetch, LOVES to play with water from the hose, LOVES walks, plays well with other dogs, loves to know what his people are up to and to be near them, loves toys and bones and kongs. Plush toys are no match for him, which will only help keep money in your wallet. He loves dog beds and human beds equally, and he listens extremely well. Once he gets comfortable with you, he does get a little too excited and tries to welcome you as you walk through the door with jumps, I mean, hugs. We are working on that excitement. But something that is cute and fun when he is excited…he smiles, BIG. I’ve never seen a dog smile so big. This guy is definitely a love bug, and his foster family thinks he is truly wonderful in so many ways. King is 4 years old and 46 poundsIMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or $200 for cats. Meet Mystic! This magical gal is a 2 year old border collie mix and she’s about 50 pounds. She’s completely house trained, and she’s incredibly sweet. She absolutely loves people, and she does well with most dogs. She does like to eat alone. She’d do best in a home with older children.
