Story
This adorable guy is Merv is a 2-year-old, 60 pound love-bug with big paws, a bigger heart, and the softest, fluffiest soul.✨ He’s dog-friendly, people-friendly, and perfectly balanced — happy to run and play when the energy is high, then just as content to curl up on a cozy rug or dog bed when it’s time to relax. Merv is a rockstar in the car and at the vet, making him an easy adventure buddy. He loves nature walks and absolutely lives for the beach — sandy noses, salty air, and ocean paw-dips are his thing 🌊🐕 At home, he’s an absolute dream. Completely housebroken, does great in a crate, and can be trusted out because he’s so well behaved. He loves bones and chew toys and knows what’s his (shoes and sunglasses are safe). Despite all that floof, he’s surprisingly low-shed. Merv is affectionate, snuggly, and deeply bonded to his people. He’s food and treat motivated, eager to please, and ready to learn — no tricks yet, but tons of potential. 🏡 Home Notes • Great with dogs or as your one and only • Best with kids 5+ due to his size • Active, affectionate, and well-mannered If you’re looking for an easygoing, outdoors-loving best friend who’s equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle bug, Merv might be your guy 💛 Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get lots more info and tons more pics of Merv!

Story
This adorable little girl is Maple and she's a 1-2 year old Mini Pin mix who is fully grown at 13 pounds. She has a wonderful & happy personality and is always up for a fun time. She gets along great with other dogs and loves everyone she meets. She also likes cats which makes her even more perfect. Maple is super smart with lots of fun energy but she's also a cuddle bug who will curl up with you and watch TV. She loves hanging out with people and going to dog parks too so we think she'd do well living as a solo pup or with a doggie sibling. As with most Mini Pins, she has lots of energy so we think she'd love a fully fenced in yard to play in. She's totally housebroken, sleeps through the night in her bed, and is healthy and up to date on all her vaccinations. She's living in a great Foster home in Farmingdale (Long Island) so reach out to Long Road Home (lrhrescue@gmail.com OR call 516-459-3509) to find out more about Maple and make a plan to go meet her.

Story
✨Hi, I’m Gryphon — Gryph for short. ✨ I’m 4 years old, 26 lbs, healthy, neutered, and ready for my next chapter. My pics make me look bigger than I am and my Foster Mom isn't sure what my breed is; maybe part Jack Russell but I'm bigger and calmer or maybe some Border Collie but I'm mellow. Doesn't matter though because I'm a very sweet guy and I’m the kind of dog who really likes being part of a home. I don’t need to be the center of attention — I just like being nearby. If you’re in the kitchen, I’ll hang out there. If you’re watching TV, I’ll grab a spot on the floor close to you. I get along well with dogs of all sizes and ages, and I have the temperament to do well with kids, too. I enjoy toys, a good romp in the yard, and then settling back down inside. When you come home, I’ll be happy to see you — tail wagging, ready to say hello — but I’m not overwhelming. I prefer sitting next to you instead of on top of you. Close, but calm. I’m housebroken, crate trained, and would happily sleep in a dog bed near my people if given the choice. I’d make a great family dog or a steady companion for someone on their own. I’m easy to live with, affectionate without being clingy, and ready to settle into a forever home. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’m your guy. 💚🐾 Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue.com) to get lots more info on me!

Story
Say hello to Dahlia! She's a very sweet 1 year old Yellow Lab mix who is fully grown at 47 pounds which makes her the perfect medium sized pup. She's just joined our Rescue family but it's obvious that at one time that she must have had a good family because she's very well behaved and polite. She's living in a lovely foster home and they share that she's a very happy girl with a really sweet disposition. Here's some info they've shared about her: Personality: Affectionate, Gentle, Quiet, Smart, Friendly and Playful. She's the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and gentle affection. She adores belly rubs, walks, and cuddles. Whether she's trotting happily by your side or curling up at your feet, she brings warmth and joy everywhere she goes. She gets along well with people and other dogs. She loves making new friends, and would love a home where she can be part of the daily fun. Daliah is so smart, eager to please, and ready to learn whatever her new family wants to teach her. Dahlia would be a wonderful member of a loving family and would do great as a solo pup or have doggie siblings. We think she'd thrive in a suburban neighborhood and would love a fenced in yard so she could play to her heart's delight. She's healthy, spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get lots more info on her and ask for some videos too.

Story
Dylan is a beautiful 2 year old Shepherd mix who has a small frame for a Shepherd and is fully grown at just 50 pounds. He's a great dog and his medium weight makes him ideal for adopters who love the Shepherd breed but want a pooch who is on the medium side. His Foster Dad happens to be a Master Trainer too so Dylan is beautifully trained, walks great on a leash and knows his commands. Check out his video to see how beautifully he walks with his little Foster Sister! He's a smart guy too who loves to play with other dogs ....he's living with 5 other dogs in his Foster home on Long Island! He's also living with a cat and pays no attention to him! He loves to play with puzzles and find the treats so he can show you how smart he is! He enjoys playing in the backyard with his friends but also loves taking snoozes in the backyard. He's very sweet and has a lovely mellow energy level too. He's housebroken and crate trained too. All he needs is a loving adopter to cherish him forever! Reach out to Long Road Home (lrhrescue@gmail.com or call 516-459-3509) for more info.
