Story
Location: Syosset, NY This 8 month old mix is up for anything, whether it’s chilling in the doggie pool or hanging back with a kong or bone. He loves playing with toys and will amuse himself by throwing around a ball when you aren't available to play fetch with him. Looking for a chill night in? Bubba is down for that, too! He's the perfect tv companion and enjoys hanging out near his people in the evenings. Energy-wise he is on the calmer side of medium, so he doesn't need to run 5ks to feel content. He currently has a few dog house mates and would love to have a sibling of his own. He also seems to not mind cats if he sees one walking about outside. Bubba is well behaved, rarely barks, and has even completed a beginner training class! He's great on leash, knows basic commands, and does well meeting new dogs. He loves car rides and has done well out shopping, which has been good for working on his confidence around new people. He can currently be a little timid around unfamiliar adults, but gets a kick out of watching kids especially if they are playing nearby or doing something goofy. Bubba was pulled from a shelter with his siblings back when he was an 8 week old pup and neither mom nor dad were there with them, so unfortunately breed mix is a question mark. His siblings had markings more typical of ACD mixes, so it's safe to say that's in there somewhere! At a lean 40lbs, he's a perfect medium size and likely won't get much bigger. Bubba is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots/monthly preventatives. He is house trained with the use of a bell, and does well crated for short periods during the day with a kong to keep him occupied. He prefers the couch overnight and does well sleeping through the night. Come meet your new best friend Bubba today! Story
Location: Syracuse, NY Meet Moe – Your New Best Friend! Moe is a 3-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a big heart, looking for his forever home. He’s matured into a calm and affectionate companion, enjoying his days bonding with his humans. Moe is happiest when he can relax at your feet or join you on peaceful walks, soaking in the world at his own pace. Moe needs experienced owners who understand his quirks and can provide him with the right guidance. The best part? Moe comes with a dedicated trainer on standby to help make sure he settles in comfortably! He does well with calm dogs and would love a gentle canine companion. He’s also great with indoor cats and does just fine around free-ranging chickens.  Moe adores people, though he can be sensitive to pressure and needs his space at times, so we’re unsure about how he’d do with children. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back friend, Moe could be the perfect addition to your family! Adoption Details: • 3 years old • Experienced owners preferred • Calm dog companion • Good with cats and chickens • Best in a low-pressure, peaceful environment • Trainer support included Give Moe the loving home he deserves!  Reach out to us to meet this wonderful pup! Moe is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Moe is currently being fostered near Syracuse NY. If you have any questions about Moe email mrulffes@gmail.com. Story
Location: KY   Sup, I’m Gary. Oh, you don’t know me? Don’t worry, you will! Let’s get the boring stuff out of the way: I’m like 6ish months old, 30 pounds, getting neutered soon, good on my vaccinations and preventatives, most likely a cattle dog mix, definitely the life of the party, absolutely the guy for you. Okay, also, here’s the thing: I was hit by a car a little while ago and while that was definitely not fun, I had no major injuries so after being treated like the rockstar that I am, the doctor said I’m all good now and clear to come home with you.    I may take handsome pictures but people who know me say to others, “you’ve got to meet him in person to get the full Gary Experience™. My foster mom says I’m a “goofy goober” who has “googly eyes” but I think I’m way more than that. I mean, have you SEEN my cool spots? I’ve got long legs that were just made for jumping high, I’ve got really shiny teeth that were made for chompin’ and have these big ears that I will absolutely 100% maybe not always listen to you with. When it comes down to it, I try my best to be a good boy but I’m still learning what all that means. I know how to sit, I walk pretty well on a leash (if I do say so myself), I’m pretty much the best at sleeping in my crate at night, and I love to announce my presence both loudly and often so everyone knows I have arrived.   I have literally never met a stranger and when I meet people I like to stand on my hind legs and do this little dance. You’ve gotta see it! I love other dogs and have quite a few friends. When I’m not too sure about stuff I like to follow the other dogs in my foster home around and take their advice on what is scary and what isn’t. I think I like playing with the younger dogs in my foster home more, those old ones are too boring for me. There’s a cat here too but that thing is weird and I’m not really sure what to do with it. My foster mom says I can be a little reactive when I’m on leash or behind a barrier. I like to think I’m just telling those other dogs how it is but apparently that’s rude so I’ve been working on that. My foster mom gives me treats when I see other dogs and I don’t yell at them so I think I’m getting the hang of it pretty well.    Anyway, if you want to meet me (and I don’t see why you wouldn’t?) please fill out an adoption application at www.acdra.org/adoption-application   If you have any questions, I’m busy doing my thing so you can email my foster mom at khickey502@gmail.com and she can probably help you out. April 25, 2025, 7:36 am

Story
Location: VA Meet Lola – Queen of Sticks and Cuddles!  Say hello to Lola, an 8-year-old cattle dog with a big personality and an even bigger love for… sticks! Yep, sticks. Big ones, little ones, crooked ones—Lola is a certified stick connoisseur and proud of it. Whether she’s proudly carrying one on a walk or playfully tossing it around the yard, Lola turns every stick into an adventure. But don’t let her stick obsession fool you—she knows there is more to life than playtime! She’s incredibly loyal, smart, and full of love. She’s past the wild puppy phase and has a little bit of extra weight to lose, but still has that spark of energy that keeps life fun. True to her breed, Lola’s intelligent and thrives with routine, a bit of structure, and plenty of playtime. She’s happiest when she’s outdoors sniffing around, finding her perfect stick, and then coming inside to crash by your side. She loves her people deeply and would do best in a home where she can be your loyal shadow (and maybe your stick delivery service). She is house trained (she will let you KNOW when she needs to go out!), knows basic commands (sit, shake, down, and more!), and walks relatively well on a leash. Lola would thrive as an only dog—or with chill canine friends (cats unknown)—she’d be a great match for someone who enjoys walks, yard time, and a loyal companion to share it all with.  If your idea of fun includes a four-legged best friend who doubles as a stick collector and cuddle expert, Lola is your girl. Come meet Lola—she’s located in Colonial Beach, VA and ready to stick by your side forever. Please contact nicole.boole@gmail.com.
