Story

The holidays have come and gone and sweet miss Holly Berry’s wish to find a forever home hasn’t come true yet. And we really are uncertain as to why. She’s a wonderful pup who craves being close to humans and she is super eager to please. She adores being pet and will happily drop into your lap for belly rubs and snuggles. She loves to play fetch and is guaranteed to make you laugh with her silly antics. She’s always ready for an adventure and would make the perfect walking or hiking companion. As an added bonus, she’s a social butterfly and loves every person that she meets, so she’s sure to make some new friends on your journeys together! Holly does need a home with a high, non-chainlink fence as she can climb. She would also do best as an only dog. She does get along with other dogs that she meets, but would prefer to be the apple of your eye as an only dog in your household. Her background story is one of survival. She was moments away from being put down in a shelter in Texas. Saved just in time, she moved from a cramped shelter to a spacious outdoor pen—one that was meant to be temporary. But that temporary space has stretched on, and Holly is still waiting for the one thing she craves most: a real home. Holly is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 54 pounds. She is fully vaccinated and spayed. She is currently if Texas but will be transported to NJ once adopted. Personality: loves people, eager to please, affectionate, loves to play, social butterfly, is a climber so needs high fence Good with: people of all ages (including kids). Gets along with other dogs but will do best as only dog in household. Has not been cat tested yet. Story

Are you looking for a quiet girl? If so, China would like to introduce herself. She’s approximately 3 years old and about 50 pounds. Though thanks to her love for food and treats, she could probably benefit from losing a few of those pounds! She’s pretty short and has a unique crooked tail. China adores everyone that she meets. And getting back to that quiet thing - she really doesn’t bark much, if at all. She is house trained and also walks well on a leash. She pals around with a male dog that is her BFF but no cats for China please. China was pregnant and wandered onto a property to have her babies. The property owners let her stay until the babies were weaned and then they kept her babies and dumped her. She ended up in the shelter and was pulled out by one of our rescue partners. She is currently in foster in TX but would love to find a forever home. If adopted, she can come to NJ on our next transport. Personality: quiet, loving Good with: people of all ages (including kids) and dogs. NO cats. Story

Knight is a handsome 1-year-old small/medium, short-legged mix with thick, super soft fur. He weighs 19 pounds and is 18 inches tall (to the shoulder). He’s fully vetted, neutered, and ready for his forever home. Knight is the perfect mix of sweet, gentle, and well-mannered. He gets along great with other dogs, farm animals, and kids. He has a calm, easygoing personality—he loves cuddles, enjoys playing with his toys on his own, and absolutely loves car rides! He’s house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and does well in a kennel. Knight is also overcoming a shoulder injury and a few small lumps that slow him down a bit, but he is healing beautifully with the love and care he's receiving. All he needs now is a family who will keep cheering him on as he continues to recover. Who isn't up for some fluffy sweetness? Cash is a male puppy who was saved (along with his brother, Moose) from a shelter in Texas. He's estimated to be about 7 weeks old (as of 1/19/26) and we don't really know what breed he is - though our best guess is a catahoula mix. Cash and his brother Moose both love to be carried around, and loved up. They are vocal puppies as of right now and Cash is the more energetic of the two. Cash is receiving his puppy vaccinations and, if adopted, will be ready to arrive to the NJ area on our March transport. Jazmin and her siblings, and mom, were found dumped at a landfill in Texas. Happily for them, they are now safe with a foster in Texas but are looking to find a forever home in the NJ area. We estimate that the puppies are about 7 weeks old (as of 2/21/26). Her foster says Jazmin (and her sister Sadie-J ) are both calm, country girls. Nothing really bothers them. They love to lounge by their play pool and enjoy watching the nearby chickens like it's their favorite TV show. Personality: calm, friendly, playful, affectionate Good with: people of all ages, and dogs. Has not been cat tested yet. Actually, she will still do her part to take care of you too - by providing lots of love and cuddles. Molly is estimated to be 3 years young, and weighs 47 pounds. She has been spayed, is heartworm negative, and is up to date on her vaccinations. She is described by her TX foster as being an "absolute sweetheart" of a pup.
