Story
Meet Posey and Cash Two Cocker Spaniels, Double the Love ✨ Posey and Cash are two AKC-registered Cocker Spaniels who are as sweet as they are charming—and they’re ready to steal hearts. Posey is a three-year-old brown and white beauty weighing just 17 pounds. Petite, playful, and full of affection, she’s the perfect mix of fun and cuddle-time. Posey is fully house trained and kennel trained, and she’s been obsessed with fetch since she was six months old—it’s her absolute favorite thing in the world. She can be a little vocal when first meeting new people, making sure to announce her presence, but once she gets a good sniff, her walls come down fast. After that, she’s all love—belly rubs, cuddles, and sticking close to her people. Posey is wonderful with children, gentle with other animals, spayed, well-socialized, and has no aggressive tendencies whatsoever. Cash, a two-year-old sable Cocker Spaniel weighing 24 pounds, is a true gentleman with a playful streak. He’s incredibly smart, fully house trained and kennel trained, and thrives on routine. His favorite moment of the day? First thing in the morning—when he bursts outside with pure joy and zoomies like life couldn’t be better. Cash loves to play fetch and is athletic, happy, and eager to engage. Like Posey, he may greet strangers with a little yap at first, but once he’s had a moment to check things out, he turns into a total lovebug. He adores attention, cuddling, and being close to his humans. Cash is neutered, fantastic with kids, gentle with other animals, and has a beautifully balanced temperament. Together, Posey and Cash are playful, affectionate, a little chatty, and completely irresistible. They would thrive in  loving home, without other dogs, where they can get attention, playtime, and the companionship they crave. Story
Meet Phoenix, an adorable Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso male mix.  At 5 years old, Phoenix is being surrendered, through no fault of his own, and is in need of a loving home. He spends much of his time during the day alone, and would absolutely love a home where he can interact with his family, be active, be cuddled, and live his best life. Phoenix is about 21 pounds of cuteness, searching for a committed, loving family.  Phoenix sleeps in a crate with the door open. He is pad trained in the home, but will go outside as well. Also, leash and crate trained. He is up to date on vaccines and he is neutered. Pad training is due to Phoenix being alone up to 13 hours per day. Phoenix has  interacted well with other dogs since he came into our care.  He does great at our adoption events.  Phoenix would thrive in a home that’s ready to give lots of love and guidance as he continues to learn to interact with people and other animals, all while providing a family with love. Phoenix would thrive best in a quieter forever home where he can continue to show his wonderful personality. Since there is no history of Phoenix with small children, we recommend a home without children.  Adopt Phoenix and make your heart and home whole.  Apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application on a laptop or computer.  If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Meet Rudolph Rudolph is a super sweet, two-year-old Lab mix who is ready for a fresh start and a forever home. He weighs about 52 pounds and has a friendly nature that makes him a joy to be around.  Rudolph likes kids and does well with other dogs. Because of his exuberance, he should be with older children. He does not get along with cats, so a cat-free home will be important for him. Despite a rough beginning, he has a loving disposition and shows how much he wants to connect with people. He even knows how to sit on command, which is a wonderful foundation to build on. Before rescue, Rudolph was living outdoors on his own and doing his best to survive. He was finally caught when he attempted to swipe a Walmart delivery order from someone’s porch, a moment that highlighted just how desperate he was for food and care. Thankfully, that chapter is behind him but he needs a family who has time for him. Rudolph is currently in boarding and available for adoption. He is looking for a loving family who will provide the stability, care, and affection he has been missing, so he never has to fend for himself again. Even though he is past the puppy age, Rudolph exhibits energetic puppy like behavior and will need a family committed to his training.  If you are looking for a loyal, kind-hearted companion with a memorable story and a lot of love to give, Rudolph may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Meet Bodhi, a male pit bull terrier mix with a huge heart and a true survivor’s spirit. He is estimated to be between 1 and 3 years old, weighs about 45 pounds, and is full of life and love. Bodhi miraculously survived a hit-and-run car accident, and through it all, he has remained incredibly sweet and people-oriented. As a result of his injuries, Bodhi needed a tail amputation, but he has healed beautifully and is now in excellent physical shape. His resilience is matched by his joyful, lively personality. Bodhi loves to train and play with people, he can get a bit over-excited so he needs people who are willing to work with his trainers to learn how to play properly with him. His trainers will also be involved every step of the way to ensure a smooth transition and help to answer any questions.  Bodhi would do best as an only dog in an adult only home and people who have past experience with a high drive, high energy dog. He is a great dog with a big heart, a strong spirit, and so much love to give. If you are looking for a loyal companion with a remarkable story and an even better personality, Bodhi may be the one for you. Story
Meet Esme   Esme is a beautiful 5-year-old, 43 lb blue-nosed pit / beagle mix with a heart as big as her personality. This sweet girl is the definition of a Velcro dog—she absolutely loves being close to her people and thrives on companionship, affection, and attention.   Esme is housebroken, loyal, and incredibly loving. She’s happiest when she’s by your side, whether you’re relaxing at home or heading out for an adventure. She has a curious, outdoorsy spirit and enjoys exploring new sights and smells, plus a good run around the yard.   She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time—ideally someone who works from home or isn’t gone for long hours. Esme truly bonds deeply with her people and struggles when left alone for extended periods.   Esme is being surrendered through no fault of her own. Her owner’s life changed due to pregnancy and a new job, leaving Esme alone for up to 12 hours a day—often confined to a basement instead of getting the walks and attention she deserves. She’s now looking for a second chance at the life she’s been missing.   She is great with kids, cats, and many (but not all) dogs. Like many smart and energetic pups, she will thrive with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. She did once jump a fence after being left alone outside for hours, so she’ll do best with supervision or a secure yard.   Esme is incredibly loyal and ready to give her whole heart to someone who can give her the time and love she craves. She’s not just a pet—she’s a best friend waiting to happen.   We are currently looking for a foster or adopter for this special girl.   To apply to adopt Esme, go to: www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application (please use a laptop or computer)          If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG!
