Story
Jake is an adorable 26-pound cocker spaniel mix who loves to play fetch. He has high energy and would really enjoy having a fenced-in yard where he can run and play fetch freely. Jake would also be happy with an owner who enjoys taking long walks or going for jogs. Jake's Ideal Home Jake does not like cats, so he would do best in a home without them. However, he gets along well with children who are seven years old and up. Jake can take a few minutes to warm up to adults, but once he feels comfortable, he is quick to climb into your lap, give kisses, and ask to play fetch. Please email Start II at start2nj@yahoo.com.

It’s getting cold outside, but Cooper will melt your heart all year around. This endearing pooch as the eyes of a hound dog and looks at you with devotion, love, and loyalty. Cooper is friendly with dogs and people. He’s ready to play and snuggle! We think he’ll do great with any family that’s dedicated to giving him the consistency of ongoing training. A fenced-in yard would be ideal, but Cooper should thrive with regular walks and outings. He’s gentle taking treats, responsive, and can’t wait to meet his new family! Cooper is a big boy who will love a nice soft bed in addition to curling up in your lap. Cooper is up to date on vaccines and neutered. Interested in adopting Cooper? Story
Hello! Meet Yam Yam, a 3-year-old, 30 lb Corgi. He was returned to the animal store at 6 months old for unknown reasons before my fiance adopted him. We currently live in a small apartment, and herding breeds like Corgis do best with a yard and more space to burn energy. Yam Yam loves people and has been friendly with children in our experience. However, he is fearful around dogs and cats; he barks at them but has never attacked or bitten another animal. He struggles with behavioral issues, including separation anxiety and resource guarding, and he does have a bite history when stressed or overwhelmed. We have tried many options and are making this decision with a heavy heart. We are looking for a patient, experienced, and dedicated home, ideally with no other pets and enough space for him to run. With structure and the right environment, Yam Yam can absolutely thrive.

Story
Dobby is a survivor. For six years, he roamed the streets of Pristina, Kosovo—dodging roundups, hunger, and locals who abused strays like him. He lost an eye and half his tail as a result of human cruelty, but he hasn't lost his gentleness. After a 15-hour flight to the U.S., he’s discovering safety for the first time. He let me bathe him on his first night, learned to trust, and now sleeps curled beside me every night. Dobby is fully housetrained, neutered, vaccinated, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. He has warmed up to my cat and is now fully integrated into my little "pack." He follows my older dog’s lead, loves quiet company, and rests deeply—finally able to relax. He’s not high-energy; he’s content with warmth, softness, and love. Dobby deserves a calm home with patient, experienced dog owners.
