Story
The Vince we know today has already undergone such an unbelievable evolution from the one that arrived on the farm. He had an at-times snappy aversion to touch. He trembled, hid and withdrew, the results of past trauma we wouldn't want to imagine. Thanks to patience, freedom of choice, and some encouragement from his doggie friends, Vince has allowed us to peel back the layers and show his funny inner personality. If this little guy knows one thing for sure it's that he likes to stay active. After a period of familiarization with the presence of the leash and the motion of putting on said leash, Vince has grown to become quite the walking partner. He can often be found on pack walks with his head held high as he surveys his surroundings. When he's not out on a stroll, Vince can be found zipping around the play yard with his friends...though he's not quite sure how to do this whole "play" thing just yet and will happily take a break from the action to explore his environment on his own. Vince also loves his toys; it brings such joy to watch him toss them about with a jolly demeanor that can't help but make you giggle. Vince still has a great deal of learning to do in how to be a pet dog. The structure we have provided, paired with a gentle approach, has allowed him to understand where he fits in the daily routine. Though he has become quite bold in his now comfortable surroundings, we know it will take a great deal of patience to welcome Vince into an unfamiliar environment. A home that is dedicated to continuing his growth (a process that is both highly challenging and highly rewarding) would be what's needed for this delightfully playful yet still highly uncertain little guy to blossom into his fullest potential. ___ THANK YOU for your interest in a rescue dog! Story
Emmie is enjoying her life here on the farm but she is so ready to find her forever home! Her days here have been filled with pack walks with her favorite handlers and polite dogs. Living on a farm with so many acres of scent to explore is heaven for dogs and Emmie is loving it all! She's a sweet people greeter and has a beautiful smile! She's been a pleasure for all of us! Emmie has got lots of activity going on in her brain and needs an outlet for it. She is incredibly playful.. loves to flip toys to herself and race around the yard. Emmie is capable of getting along with other dogs that suit her style and needs an active home. No cats for Emmie girl! ––– THANK YOU for your interest in a rescue dog! Story
Gandy is a solid delightful spunky little chi mix that was originally surrendered to a southern shelter along with 5 other chihuahuas. We took them all and each one was placed in great homes! Sadly after 2 years Gandy was returned to us at Love Dogs due to personal circumstances in his previous owners life. When he first arrived back to us last week after two years in his home, he was one chunky monkey!! We welcomed him back.. he was always much loved here and he did recognize us.. naturally he had to readjust and was initially a bit reserved and cautious ( part of his nature!). He will never be a confident greeter of new people.. but he is able to and actually wants to feel safe and loved. It didn't take long for him to get into our routine and start trusting us again. Right now Gandy's days are filled with positive experiences only! Playgroups with his buddies Hopper, Navy and Ollie.. long walks around the farm property and tours into the barn to explore all the wondrous horse smells! Gandy is so affectionate and loving to those on his inner circle.. often jumping in our laps and rubbing on us like a cat for attention! He has his favorite friends and with them he gives his whole heart!! Gandy would do well in a home with a another dog or cat but children not so much! He prefers calm and gentle friends who will find it easy to give him space time and choices!! With his somewhat challenging start in life our hopeful buddy deserves a sweet happily ever after!

Story
Our once shy puppy girl Roxie has grown into a playful canine socialite!! Sharing adventures and new experiences with fellow dogs has enabled her to unleash her inner puppy!! Roxie can play all day with her dog pals.. trail blaze in a pack on long leashes.. nose to the ground and her curly little tail high and waggy! Once completely shut down and cowering in corners, "foxy Roxie" now chases balls.. and often returns them except in the event she gets side tracked by the sight of a whirring ball tossed for another dog .. and off she goes to join the chase! One of her favorite games involves the hose.. on any setting! Roxie bites and snaps the out pouring water no matter what setting its on jet, shower or mist! She also kinda plays jump rope and repeatedly runs into the water spray full on.. getting drenched and loving's every moment!! Roxie has a number of unique and highly entertaining moves in her play style .. she actually bounces.. kangaroo style.. also literally leaps over her mates .. even those quite a bit taller than she is.. Roxie like a lot of dogs is really into rolling and somehow manages to roll in tandem with her pals .. almost as if merged into one dog! She's got great play etiquette.. smoothly moves from running chase games to prone mouth wrestling.. to sharing a drink at the water bucket and then lounging comfortably for a rest before it all starts again! Story
Hopper may be the most appropriately named dog you will ever meet - this little guy has pogo sticks for legs! He could probably set some kind of world record for consecutive "hops" in the air. An athletic, playful and entertaining boy who came to us with some learned coping behaviors that we believe stemmed from not having enough lets go! in his life! He was a frustrated firecracker that needed to get out and go go go!! Hop has made great canine friends here! He gets to burn off his little dog terrier energy marching along darting about tracking scents, on solo or group hikes.. in the woods jumping over logs, leaping and yes, hopping... playing chasing games with his buddies in the large grass yards and definitely getting his full share of that wonderful game, enjoyed by humans and canines alike, FETCH!!! Hop is a dog who is his best self having had some enjoyable exercise and fun games. He is smart, active and engaged. He enjoys learning and being praised! Hop is one cute little stinker with a heart melting love gaze. ___ THANK YOU for your interest in a rescue dog!
