Story
Meet Caesar! This handsome 2-year-old, 75-pound boy was found wandering in the country with no one to claim him. Thankfully, a kind neighbor contacted the shelter after a few days, and Caesar is now ready for his next chapter. After a dna test we found out Caesar is 50/50 Poodle and Great Pyrenees.  When he arrived, his coat was quite matted, but underneath it all was a healthy, happy boy who had clearly known love at some point—he’s already neutered and seems to be house trained. Caesar is friendly, gentle, and eager for attention.  He’ll thrive with a family ready to give him the care, grooming, and affection he deserves.  He’ll thrive with a family ready to give him the care, grooming, and affection he deserves. Caesar has shown some guarding tendencies so it's best if he is in a home without kids or other dogs and with adopters who are willing to give him his space. If you’d like to make Caesar part of your family, please fill out an adoption application at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application on your laptop or computer. Story
Meet Oreo! Looking for unconditional love wrapped in a wagging tail? Oreo is a 2 year-old Springer Spaniel mix with a heart as big as her puppy-dog eyes. Oreo is about 22 pounds, searching for a committed, loving family. This sweet girl was adopted, but through no fault of her own, she is again searching for a furever family again.  This sweetheart is a very fast runner. She loves running around the yard and playing. She sleeps in a crate, and views the crate as her safe place. She is also a good watch dog. In the evening she likes to chill and cuddle up, while she gives kisses. Oreo walks very nicely while on a leash, and she is housebroken. While she can be a bit nervous, a patient family is what she needs to bring out her very best. The good news is Oreo is already crate trained, house trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s a sweet girl who just needs the right setting to feel safe and secure. If you can open your heart and home to Oreo, please fill out an application asap. Let’s help this deserving girl find the comfort and stability she needs.  Oreo would do best in a calm home environment with a fenced-in yard. A female-only household would be a plus (she can be fearful of men). Another friendly dog would be a big plus!  She has been around children but does not interact with them, at this time.  A loving foster or forever home where she can be exposed to practicing basic skills and continuing to show her wonderful personality would be ideal.  Whether you're looking for a hiking buddy, a couch companion, or a loyal shadow, Oreo is ready to fill your life with tail wags and joy. Are you able to be Oreo’s furever home? Apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application on a laptop or computer.  If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Meet Moby Moby is a 2 year, 8 month old Australian Cattle Dog weighing about 50 lbs. He is a neutered male who is both crate trained, leash trained and house trained, and he knows basic commands like sit and down and comes when called. Moby is a friendly, affectionate dog with new people. He enjoys attention, belly rubs, and is comfortable being pet by neighbors. For this reason, Moby will need an experienced adopter or foster who understands herding breeds and is comfortable continuing behavior work and setting clear boundaries. His breed does best with a fenced yard so his home will need to have one.  Dogs: Selective; does best depending on size Cats: Unknown Children: Unknown Moby would likely thrive in a structured, adult-only home with consistent leadership, breed experience, and a commitment to helping him succeed. With the right environment and guidance, Moby will be a loyal, loving companion.  He desperately needs a foster. He is not doing well in boarding, he has been there for months.    To adopt Moby  please apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application using a laptop or computer        If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Meet Barbie! Searching for a partner who is as smart as she is sweet? This intuitive girl is the ultimate 'thinker's dog.' She’s looking for an adopter who appreciates an active lifestyle and a sharp mind. She’ll impress you with how quickly she learns and keep you smiling with her TV commentary and famous wiggle-butt greetings. She knows how to behave in public places and will happily accompany you to an outdoor cafe or sidewalk sale. She's great in the car so load her in and bring her with you. After a day of outdoor adventures and a few brain-teasing puzzles, there is nothing she loves more than settling in for a serious cuddle session in her calm sanctuary. If you’re ready for a devoted, athletic, and brilliantly capable companion, your search ends here! This 2.5-year-old, 45 lb mixed breed beauty is smart, goofy, and full of curiosity. She’s a pro at fetch, loves chasing bugs (and catching them!), and thrives when given a job to do—definitely some working dog energy here! Barbie is house trained, though will occasionally use wee wee pads overnight.  Ready to give this amazing girl the forever home she deserves?? Story
May is a sweet, happy 1-year-old doodle girl who weighs 31 pounds—the perfect medium size for just about any home. She has a friendly, loving personality and enjoys spending time with both people and other dogs. May gets along well with children and would make a wonderful family companion. She's playful, affectionate, and ready to find a family to call her own. While we're not sure how she does with cats, she's proven to be social and easygoing with the people and dogs she's met. May is looking for a forever home when she gets to NJ on August 9, where she can share her love, make happy memories, and be a cherished member of the family.
