Story
Hello, I am looking for a new home for my puppy name beau. He is 2 years old. I got him as a 4 month old puppy from his parents owners. He is a great dog, very lively, smart, funny and friendly. He is house trained and vocal like most huskies :). He still has more to learn. He needs a home with love and attention. Basic needs like short walks or runs, plays time, eat and sleep are just what he needs. He is up to date with his shots and is healthy.

Story
Meet Duke. If interested in Duke, please apply online at afpamperedpaws.com then go to the adoption center and scroll down to Duke. He's a very special boy. We've had Duke for a long time and was deemed dangerous before we got him. Prior to being surrendered to the rescue, he had gotten out and bit a kid on the way to school. It did not break the skin but he was deemed dangerous so when he's adopted, and we have faith there is a perfect home for him, they will have to abide by the dangerous dog rules for their county. The county wanted Animal Friends to surrender Duke but we would not so they worked with us explaining the laws and paperwork that needed filed. He is now at the kennel and loving life until he finds the perfect home. He's a sweet boy and is very food motivated. He's house trained and has NEVER had an accident since we've had him. He will greet you each time holding his bowl and he loves toys. We have not had any incidents other than him jumping up on us to go for car rides. He's very strong and needs obedience training, like any 5 year old shepherd/pit mix. He plays very rough with other dogs and should probably be an only pet. He also lived with a 9 year old girl and was adored by the entire family. We were told that he loves to snuggle and slept in bed with his previous family. Because Duke is deemed dangerous, we will arrange meet and greets cautiously and do introductions slowly. His eyes and personality melted our hearts and we are so thankful Prince William County and then Fauquier worked with us to keep this guy alive. He loves his life at Animal Friends' Pampered Paws because it is all he knows. This poor guy deserves a home though. Could that be with you? If interested, applications can be completed at afpamperedpaws.com and click on the adoption center and scroll down to Duke. He will need to be registered as a dangerous dog where he is adopted. If you have questions about the laws in Prince William or Fauquier, please feel free to email us at va.animalfriends@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Story
Hi! My name is Kinzey, and I am an 9 year old American Foxhound mix. I was adopted 6 years ago, and my new mommy and I were absolutely crazy about each other. Sadly, my new mommy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Now, I am back in a foster home, and while I really like it here, I would love to find my fur-ever home again. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the online application at afpamperedpaws.com and click on the adoption center. I am a silly, smart, loveable, playful cuddlebug. I like to play, but I am perfectly content to amuse myself while you do your thing, and I love to snuggle up next to you while you relax. I give the best hugs!!! I'm a little shy around new people, but with a little time and patience, I always come around. I am house-trained and love to go for car rides and WALKS - walks are the BEST!!! My foster says that I am close to being the PERFECT DOG. I've had a lot of anxiety in the past but now that I'm at the kennel and get lots of attention from the staff I haven;'t shown any strange behaviors. I love it here but would love someone who is home with me during the day that can talk to me and snuggle up with me. I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations. If you would like to meet me (and I sure HOPE you do!), please complete the application on afpamperedpaws.com and click on the adoption center. Find me and fill out the application.

Waylon was turned into a county animal shelter as a stray and never claimed. He would love to find an active family that will play with him and give him lots of exercise to burn off his puppy-like energy. He's about 35 pounds and also crate trained. He does well with other dogs but has a strong prey drive. If you are interested in applying for Waylon, please go to our website at afpamperedpaws.com and click on the adoption center and scroll down to Waylon. We look forward to hearing from you.
