Charlie

Shih Tzu Poodle (Miniature)

Male, 2 yrs 3 mos
Bayonne, NJ
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Charlie, a 2-year-old dog, was born on a farm in PA. He can sometimes be wary around men & has some separation anxiety. While he is not destructive, he requires 3 walks a day & appreciates a consistent schedule. The usual walking times are 6 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. It is preferable for Charlie to go to a home with a yard. He is not crate-trained & does not tolerate crates well. Although he is potty trained, smaller dogs have smaller bladders & need more frequent breaks. He has had accidents when not taken out for his walks. He gets along well with dogs of his size & loves being around children. Charlie enjoys sleeping close to his owner & human siblings. He prefers a harness over a neck leash & enjoys wearing doggy clothes/jackets. Charlie is up-to-date on all vaccinations, has a rabies license, & is microchipped. Because Charlie is not neutered, I'm not charging an adoption fee. My desire is to place him in a good home where he will be loved & cared for.

Story
Charlie is 2 years old, he was born on a farm in PA. He can be wary around certain men. Charlie does have some separation anxiety. He is not destructive but does need to be walked three times a day. He likes a schedule. We usually walk him at 6 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. We prefer he goes to a home with a yard. He gets along with other dogs his size. He loves kids. We do not know how he would interact with a cat. Charlie is not a hugger but loves to sleep near his owner and his human siblings. He does not sleep in a crate and does not do well in a carte. Although his is potty train we leave a pad out for him for when we are unable to go on his schedule walks as he does not do good on holding his pee for long periods of time. He prefers a harness, we do not like neck leashes, Charlie loves wearing doggy clothes/jackets. Charlie is up to date on all vaccination, has his rabies license and is microchipped.

Story
Jagger is a super playful almost 2 year old pitbull. He is so loved but unfortunately my family and I have a super busy schedule and it is not fair to him. Jagger will thrive in a household where he can receive unlimited attention. He has never bit anyone nor is he aggressive. He is super cuddly and affectionate. He loves to give kisses and receive endless amounts of scratches and back rubs. I adopted jagger at 6 weeks from another very loving family. Jagger is definitely a house dog and has never been around any type of hostile environment. Because he is so affectionate, it may take some time for him to open up but once he does, he will love you so much.

Story
Chopper is a 3 year old Pitbull mix. He originally belonged to my friend who couldn't take him with him to where he was moving. I took Chopper in temporarily until I can find him a home. I have a dog who isn't too happy with this new situation so I can't keep chopper with me for too much longer. Chopper is very shy and sweet. He doesn't bark at other dogs or people when he goes out for a walk. He likes to stay close to whoever is taking care of him. If you are at your desk typing or reading he will lay next to you. He likes to always stay close to you. He has a skin allergies that mainly come up in the spring and summer.

Story
Chance is a normal, happy puppy who loves to play with other dogs and cuddle with her people. He loves to play fetch and tug. Chance is crate trained and almost house trained. He is working on basic commands "sit", "crate", and "outside". He is a smart boy who learns very quickly. Chance would do well in just about any kind of setting. He is shy at first but once he warms up he is just wonderful boy. He has been fostered with multiple bigger and smaller dogs and does great with all of them. He plays nicely and takes cues from them. Chance is fine with cats. He has not been exposed to children, but would probably be fine. Chance is crate train but because he is an active puppy, we require that this puppy have a fenced yard and not be crated for more than 4 hours at a time. As with any dog they may have an accident if not taken outside often enough. He walks nicely on the leash; he does not pull but does get distracted easily. Chance is neutered and up to date with his shots and HW negative. He is ready for his own family to love. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application at www.arkansaschihuahuarescue.org this puppy is located in Central Arkansas. However transport is available for a fee.
