FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Pinto! He is a 2-year-old, 48lb border collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Pinto is a very sweet boy but still very shy and shut down. When it comes to new experiences, he will require patience as he learns to trust and open up. He comes alive with other dogs around and would love another dog in the home as they give him confidence. He is very loving and will make an extremely loyal companion. We are looking for a quiet standalone home for him outside of the city. No apartment living for him. He plays well with others and is a very quick learner, and who can’t love those stunning multi-colored eyes! Pinto is UTD vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Animal Profile: Squirrel and her sister Angel are corgi/collie/chihuahua mixes that are 11 months old. Their owners reached out to Dog Gone Seattle for help placing them and several other dogs. We agreed to find them all wonderful homes, and are also spaying the females that are remaining in the home to avoid future accidental litters. Mom and Dad are both friendly, social low riders that were very sweet when we met them. They have been raised in a home with a 10 year old, other dogs both large and small, and a cat. Foster notes: Angel is such a sweetie. She is shy when meeting people, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up. She is very energetic and loves chasing us as we run around the yard, but does settle and lay down if it’s not play time. She can chase a ball but doesn’t bring it back just yet. She has some interest in toys but hasn’t played with them yet. She loves being outside, and doesn’t mind laying in her crate during the day with the door open. Angel would prefer a home with a human who is home more often than not. Resident dog preferred. Angel does well on leash with a martingale and is very curious about all the new sounds and smells.  Angel is food motivated and is a quickly learning some basic obedience. She is doing very well with potty training and is gaining confidence daily. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, health certificate, and microchip with lifetime registration.
