Story
ADOPT ME! We are sad to announce that Chase from the Paw Patrol litter is back with ALDR, because his family did not think he was a good fit any longer. Handsome fella is now a year and a half old, about 80Ibs, incredibly sweet, but nervous around new friends and takes time to warm up. We are working on helping him build his confidence and helping him feel safe and loved! Chase is well behaved, crate trained, house trained and walks well on a leash! He can sometimes be dog selective, so he would do best in a home without another dog or with a patient adopter who is willing to do a slow and proper introduction to be sure he will get along with any other furry friends. He doesn't seem to react to squirrels or cats while out and about in the neighborhood, but he has barked at his foster guinea pig brother, because he was a little scared of him. Chase is currently in a home with children and doing well, but may not do well with all children since his fear reactions can sometimes be intimidating. His ideal home would be with a family that is willing to give him time to adjust and reassure him he is safe and loved. He has also started professional training to help him manage his reactions when scared and we are recommending he continues to make sure he is set up for success. All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org. ##1373323##

Story
Meet Izzy! Sweet Izzy originally came to us three years ago (mid-pandemic) after she was surrendered to an ER by her owners as a tiny puppy. She was thrown against the wall which caused a broken leg. On top of that she was also infested with internal parasites and fleas which caused her to become anemic. After a lot of care, Izzy made a full recovery into a healthy and happy pup - ultimately getting adopted.  Unfortunately, it was not her happily ever after as she has been returned after not getting along well with the older pup in the home. In her first foster home she did well with some of the pups but not all showing signs of selective reactivy. She is currently in a temporary foster home with no other dogs and doing amazingly well - but cannot stay there for long either. :(  Izzy loves being the princess and getting all the attention. Izzy is housebroken, loves to run and play, well mannered and social with all people. Due to size, strength and energy we would not recommend her in a home with small children or eldery relatives as she will knock them over when excited.  If interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application on our website at animalluvrs.org under the ADOPT tab, along with paying the $10 nonrefundable application fee through PayPal, which would be applied to the adoption fee. Feel free to email us at aldr@animalluvrs.org for more information. All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continues to helps other animals in need. ##861412##

Story
Meet Lola! We committed to Lola, a sweet but completely emaciated dog from Pasco County Animal Services. She was a deadline plea because of her medical needs which so far include diabetes, wounds on her leg, severe cataracts, and a heart murmur. We have no idea what this poor girl has been through, but we know she hasn’t had an easy life. Thanks to an amazing rescue village, we were able to find a foster that can take care of her and show her the love she deserves while she recovers. We took her straight to the vet and unfortunately her glucose levels are too high to read and she’s very dehydrated. The good news is she is showing lots of personality and she’s definitely a fighter. Her glucose levels are finally normalized, and she has slowly been gaining weight. She is spayed, and available for adoption. Her ideal home is as an only dog or with lower energy pups since she is partially blind from her cataracts. Story
This young adult bully girl was found roaming, filthy, thin, flea infested, infected skin and heartworm positive. Now Lacey is spayed, has completed her heartworm treatment, is healthy and ready for her very own family!  Lacey is a happy and playful girl that thrives on attention. She has never met a stranger and LOVES all people, cuddling on the couch, napping with her humans and going on walks to explore. She is eager to please, easygoing, potty trained and walks well on a leash. Lacey is incredibly smart, has great manners and lots of tricks up here sleeve. We also absolutely love her heart-shaped nose, soft furr endless kisses, and sweet snuggles!  Lacey is looking for a home with no cats or pocket pets and would ideally be the only pet in her new home. We also recommend a home with older kids as she could knock over little ones with her excitement and wagging tail! If interested in adopting please fill out the adoption application on our website at animalluvrs.org under the ADOPT tab, or email us at aldr@animalluvrs.org for more information. All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. Story
Meet Miley, a permanent resident with Animalluvr's Dream Rescue! Back in February 2021, Miley was surrendered to us due to her owners moving after originally asking a veterinary clinic for euthanasia. Luckily, we had a wonderful foster home step up to take her in and avoid euthanasia at only 3 years old. At the time, Miley had no vetting and was dragging her back end for over a year per her owners....without any vet care or proper diagnosis. During her time with usm Miley has had full veterinary work ups including blood work, xrays, consults with orthopedic specialist, neurologist and rehabilitation specialist. She is getting all the care she needs but needs a special home that will love and care for her.  Miley is a young bully girl who weighs in at 50lbs of muscle. She wants to run. She wants to play. And, she definitely wants to kiss and snuggle. Miley is incontinent - she knows when she has to go but cannot hold it. Luckily she loves sporting her cute panties around and is very cooperative with it. Even with all of the dedicated care, an incontinent dog is prone to urinary tract infections so the medical care is a constant battle. We are committed to Miley for life! Animalluvr's Dream Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization that relies on donors and volunteers to continue saving lives. Miley is one of our many fospice pets that we will continue providing medical care for life. We accept donations through CashApp, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. If you are interested in sponsoring a fospice pet, please email us at aldr@animalluvrs.org to learn more.  ##1109177##

Story
AT THE END OF NOVEMBER, ANIMAL CONTROL CONFISCATED THESE BOYS FROM A HORRIBLE SITUATION. BUBLÉ WAS IN ROUGH SHAPE BUT STABLE. BUDDY THE ELF WAS BARELY ALIVE WHEN FOUND. BOTH EMACIATED, LOADED WITH PARASITES OF ALL KINDS AND RAW, INFECTED SKIN FROM DEMODEX MANGE.  AS YOU CAN NOW SEE - THEY ARE DOING GREAT NOW! THEY ARE BOTH FULL GROWN YOUNG ADULTS AT ABOUT 30LBS OF LEGS AND TYPICAL HERDING TRAITS. AS THEIR FUR HAS GROWN BACK IN, OUR BEST GUESS IS AUSSIE MIX.  THEIR IDEAL HOMES WOULD BE SEPARATE BUT WITH ANOTHER CONFIDENT MEDIUM TO LARGE PUP THAT CAN CONTINUE TO TEACH THEM PROPER SOCIALIZATION AND MANNERS.  All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped.
