Story
Introducing Louie, and the most beautiful baby blue eyes we ever did see! This young boy was found with a tether around his neck in a known dumping area in Texas. Louie is estimated to be around 2 years old and appears to have been used solely as a breeding stud. He's a bit frightened and cautious, as he’s been shuffled around to help him settle. Louie gets overwhelmed easily and is sensitive to touch, but he managed to tolerate a soothing bath quite nicely. He's not yet a fan of treats or cuddles yet, but we know with the right foster or forever home, Louie will learn to trust and love. We're looking for a patient and gentle soul who can offer him a quiet and stable environment. Consider fostering or adopting and help him find his comfort zone at his own pace. Application below to apply for Louie. https://chboxerrescue.com/adopt/ May 14, 2024, 12:32 am

Story
IN NY, NY - Ginger and Grant are absolutely adorable approximately 4-months old puppies ready for adoption! They are littermates, but Grant (15lbs male) is notably bigger than Ginger (10 lbs female). It seems like both are full-size Aussies, although Ginger will definitely be on the smaller side for a full size. Grant is a total sweetheart and a goofball. He loves making you laugh and snuggling up with you. He already is honing his fetch and tug of war skills. He is very loving with Ginger and always looking to play. Ginger is slightly more reserved but very smart and very exploratory. She is less interested in fetch and more interested in figuring out which wires connect to which electronic device (so she can chew through them of course!) and how to get around the puppy gate. She does like cuddling up with her people though, too. Ginger got the hang of walking on a leash the first time she tried and will love developing lots of tricks and skills. It would be ideal for her to be with another dog to help show her how things go. Both have been socialized with our two dogs and a friendly cat. They have met a few other adults too. We have been doing pee pads since they just finished vaccines (just need distemper follow up). The fee is $460 for each puppy. There is an additional $50 REFUNDABLE spay/neuter deposit and a $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to their new furever homes. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Leia is a sweet, intelligent and intuitive schnauzer-doodle mix who is an absolute gem of an animal. She was rescued from a shelter as a puppy 8 years ago by an old friend who then moved away. She has spent the past two years in my home with me and my two young boys and although we could not have asked for a sweeter pet, my 24 hour shifts at the hospital are just untenable with a girl like this who needs more one on one time. She is very low maintenance—doesn’t really care for long walks but needs companionship. She is perfectly happy to sit near you all day long. When she does go out to the yard she likes to sit on the lawn chair and just watch the birds. She has anxiety with lengthy separation and would do better with an owner who is retired or works a regular 9-5 job. She loves other dogs and is very sweet with children. She is completely house trained and walks well with a gentle head leader leash. Please reach out with any other questions if you think she may be a fit for you.
