Story
Hi, Oso here,Did you know that Oso means bear in Spanish? They call me that because I am a little black, fluffy, boy that looks a little like a bear.As you can see, I am just a puppy and learning everything I need to know to be the best dog ever!I am very affectionate and love to snuggle with my people. I live with cats, and I am very curious about them. I like to chase them so we can play but I never catch one.I live mostly in the house, but I love to be outside where I can run and play with the other dogs. I am learning that I need to ask to go outside to do my business, but I still have accidents sometimes.I have been on car rides but to be honest, they scare me and I like to be held when we are driving.I am a curious little fellow who is not afraid of much, I like to meet new people, I get along with other dogs and even when I am out on a leash, I want to sniff everything. I will need some patience and help with that.I like my food, but I don’t guard it, I think there is lots for everyone! If it sounds like I would fit into your family, then fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love, Oso To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Hello, Pinky here,I am a perfect pup for you. I am over 2 years old, so, mostly out of my puppy stage. I am all small and fuzzy-faced cuteness. I am calm but not shy when I meet new people. I guess you might call that reserved.I love dogs and interact with them perfectly. I live with cats, and we get along great. Children are some of my favorite people. We can play all day. My favorite toy is a teddy bear, and who wouldn’t love one? I am still learning my commands, but I am very affectionate and love to give kisses. I spend most of my time in the house and after going out in the morning to do my business I am pretty much good until you get home later in the day.I love my daily walks and I am pretty good on a leash but you will need to direct me because I do get distracted. If it sounds like I would fit into your family, fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love, Pinky To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Do they get any cuter than Kreig?! Kreig Moyer is 9 years young and only 14 pounds. We believe he is a Shih Tzu/Poodle/Maltese mix but with Rescue it's always best guess. Kreig has lived in a home his entire life, so he is accustomed to being a companion. He can be a bit shy at first with people and other dogs, but opens up once he's comfortable. Kreig loves to go on car rides and be next to his person. He could use some polishing on his leash skills, but with some training and guidance he will be an excellent strolling partner. He loves to play and run around, so while he is considered a senior dog, he will still enjoy getting some exercise. Kreig prefers canine pals that are more his size. He is also cat friendly! Kreig currently lives with cats and did great meeting the cat at the rescue. He could also do well as the only pet! Like most small dogs, Kreig will do best with respectful children 5 years and older. In summary, Kreig is a lovely little dog who just wants to be the center of someone's universe. Will that be you? Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65d37d179bef40d42f0b5007 Please email kari@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption to anywhere in the US. We transport near or into NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our dogs and cats are brought to you in style by a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van or bus transport, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. We can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee includes all vetting per our veterinarian: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 14,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Mikey is a 4year old hound mix. Our family has had him for three years. Mikey does well In public and is friendly with other animals and lives currently with one feline. Mikey and our cat tolerate each other but prefer to relax separately. Mikey is house trained and listens to commands along with some tricks. Loving and loyal. Has soft beautiful flea free fur. Mikey has some dominance issues with me "the female" and also some territorial behavior towards our 11 moth old. We had hoped it would get better with time but Mikey is becoming very anxious and unpredictable when our son is near we are having trust issues with his patience and have decided to make the very hard decision to rehome as it is no longer safe for both animal and owner to cohabitate. Please consider adopting Mikey.

Story
Hi! My name is Calla and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on May 22, 2024 with my pal Bramble (A709043).I weigh 55.0 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I am still working on basic commands, but I am a huge fan of treats and squeaky toys so that can help with any further training :)There isn`t too much to say about me because I am pretty amazing! I am affectionate, walk pretty well on leash and a sweetheart.I came in with a small dog, so I could probably go to a home with another dog with a very slow introduction to other dogs.I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!
