Story
Pepper is a 1yr old hound mix from a shelter. Shes been good around my cats licking them in the face until they swat her away. I would recommend a house with just dogs because she is still a puppy. She loves my neighbor and sister dogs. She learned how to climb our 4ft chain link fence so we tie her out sometimes. I recommend someone with a lot of yard space for her to run around and a privacy fence. Shes crate trained and we dont have too many accidents if we let her out regularly.

Story
Meet Pratt! He is a 10-week-old (as of May 1) shepherd mix. He came to HART from Georgia via a rescue specific to Belgian Malinois, the breed of his mother. Pratt is a little cautious at first, but he has a big personality once he settles in. Crate and house training are going well because he’s super intelligent. He likes to roughhouse, especially outside. Pratt is great at entertaining himself, but he likes to be at someone’s feet. He’s content to be on the floor, but you won’t hear him complain if you want him next to you, especially if it’s bedtime. He sticks close to his people and likes to know what is happening around him. He already seems like a classic loyal shepherd with traits that will make him an excellent forever friend. If interested in meeting Pratt please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org!

Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: Earthbound Holistic Sensitive Skin and Stomach Lamb Meal and Vegetable Medication: Monthly flea/tick/heart worm preventative Hey Mickey! I'm Mickey, I'm 13 months old and am a full blown puppy, but I do go potty outside and am crate trained, I also know all my basic commands (I might counter surf a bit, or grab things that aren't toys if they are in my reach, but I'll happily trade you for a toy). I am very high energy and need to be active, I like to go for walks and keep a quick pace. Bad weather, no problem just take me shopping, I love meeting new people, my foster mom took me shopping and I got so much attention, it was a great day! I love being near people, I even helped my foster dad work on a car, I did a great job supervising. As for dogs I love other dogs, but maybe a little too much sometimes. I have tendency to hump my Frenchie foster brother and won't listen when he tells me to stop but I do listen to my English foster brother so dogs near my size would be best if you have other dogs, but I would also do great as an only dog since I love people and being close to them. If you need a walking or shopping buddy or road trip companion I'm your guy (I'm always ready to hop in an open car door), I love to be on the go!

Story
Meet Peanut!! Peanut is a beautiful 4 year old shepherd mix and weighs 63 pounds. This beautiful girl found herself and her 2 six month old puppies at a high kill shelter on the euthanasia list. The day all 3 were set to be euthanized her 2 puppies were saved but she was not. Minutes away from being killed she began to have another litter of puppies. That litter of 7 puppies saved her life for a few more weeks. When her time was up at the foster home, she and the 2 puppies left were set to go back to the high kill shelter where they would again, be on the euthanasia list. Peanut and her 2 puppies were rescued and came to Ohio to look for their forever homes. Peanut does not have to worry ever again about being back at that shelter and wondering if someone was going to step in and save her life. She is safe and has been given a second chance to find her forever home and the loving family that she deserves Peanut is an amazing girl who loves nothing more than to be in a yard with several balls or to be snuggling up against her human. Again, she loves balls and can be outside all day long playing catch if given the opportunity. She is still very much a puppy herself in that she does love to play and be active. She does well with walks but can pull at times in the leash. She is crate and house trained and loves chewy toys and treats. Peanut would be an amazing addition to any family. She just wants to love and be loved. If interested in meeting Peanut please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org!
